Summary
As wedding bells ring, Walworth is turned upside down by tragic events....
Susie Brown is overjoyed when her brother, Will, turns up unexpectedly on leave from service in time for her wedding to Sammy Adams.

I’m hooked on these books
I absolutely love all these books. The narrator is fantastic I’ve laughed out loud at some of the exchanges with the delightful Cassie and her “mate” Freddie- utterly priceless. If you’ve known someone who’s from Walworth area- these books (it’s a series) are so for you. If you don’t know anyone- they are still fantastic, light read- with some much deeper touches on life around the Walworth road at that time. Just wonderful.

Brilliant storyline, characters brought to life by Annie Aldington. Masterclass in narration.
I’ve read all stories in this Adam’s family saga. Totally engrossed. Only disappointment was the fact that the killers brother has now been referred to. I could do without the suspense of his appearance!

Absolutely brilliant
I love Mary’s books, but the narrator Annie brings the whole books to life, I could listen to her all day, she’s amazing, looking forward to the next book now, I’ve listened to 3 already 😊

Great!
I am really enjoying this series of books. The narrator is first class and the storyline encompassesing family life in the early part of the 20th century London is quite riveting. On to the next book.
