About this listen
A clandestine treaty. A death-bed confession. The hunt is on for Sean Dillon, who must go head to head with the Mafia.
The year is 1944. Just outside Delhi a British Dakota crashes, taking lives and destroying a clandestine treaty signed by Lord Mountbatten and the Communist leader, Mao Tse-tung. An historic agreement, one set to change the course of history.
Over thirty years later, a death-bed confession from a Mafia kingpin reveals the answers to untouched secrets about the treaty, and just how much the British and Chinese governments would pay for its destruction.
It's not long before Sean Dillon enters the fray, his feared expertise tested as he goes up against the uncompromising violence of the Mafia and the enticing dangers of a beautiful woman, more deadly than any assassin.
Battling ruthless killers and the higher unseen powers of the government, Dillon must expose treacheries, colossal truths, and risk everything he loves in an explosive and thrilling quest for justice.

OK , enjoyable and easy listening, not the best narration
I started reading or listening to the Sean Dillon series about half way through the series most probably no 10.
I decided after not enjoying the Midnight Bell to try the early books and I enjoyed Thunder Point but felt this one was not as good. I have listened to other audio books by Jack Higgins and thought this narration was not so enjoyable.

As usual another great thriller from Jack Higgins,
The narrator good as always which makes the story and whole series of Sean Dillon much to enjoy. Don't miss this one.

Awful accents
The narrator lets this down massively
He flits between Irish & Scottish accents for characters
The Irish accents range from Dublin, northern and a mixture of dated stereotypes across the country. It’s enough to ruin the book.
A Scottish character will start off Scottish and change mid sentence
The plot itself was ok but predictable
I’m not sure whether I’ll continue with the series

Awful Narration
I just couldn't listen past the first couple of chapters. The accents were dreadful, I couldn't work out if was Scottish or Irish. I was looking foreward to this book as well.
