Summary
A daughter of the forest and loyal to no clan, Seana has been whispered to be a child of the faeries, but not even a little Gael magic can help her claim what she truly desires - a home and hearth...before it's too late for her ailing da.
Seana pins all her hopes on Broc Ceannfhionn, but Broc has eyes for another. To win Broc's heart, she strikes a bargain with Colin Mac Brodie - the biggest rogue in all of Scotia. Although Colin has already broken Seana's heart once, this time around he's powerless to resist the girl he once shunned. He finds himself where he never thought to be: on bended knee.

More to love! (read in order.)
Tanya Anne Crosby and Ewan MacRae are a successful and excellent combination.
There is little to say that is not a RAVE!
My one REAL Complaint is that this doesn't make sense as a stand alone book. The elements are there, and the information is presented yet it makes very little sense without the knowledge and ''experiences" contained in the previous books. I loved them all but omitting one or reading them out of order seriously subtracts from the experience knocking it from a 5 star to barely a 4 star. And it is such a shame to waste such a enjoyable journey.
NARRATOR: Ewan MacRae is the perfect person to deliver a great performance in this specific genre. His sexy brogue and Command of both male and female voices full of individuality and personality attest to that fact. Altho admittedly the female voices lack some femininity.
CREDITWORTHY? Yes!
HEAT FACTOR: just warm... but that's okay!

Mixed feelings....
I liked the story overall. The first book is still the best so far though. I did not like how this was narrated though and it took something out of the book because of it. Ewan MacRae tried too hard with Colin which made him actually sound less like a Scot and more like an automaton. However it was Seana’s voice that was truly the complete fail. I am not even certain how to describe it... little screechy girl sometimes and just little girl other Times. Certainly not a woman grown and a strong woman at that.
I think I would rate it higher if it had been read differently. Still, I did like the storyline.

narration
the narrator has good Scottish accent, but his female voices come off as screechy and a bit annoying, however the story was good enough to keep listening

Enjoyable addition to the series
sweet story., most enjoyable. Narration worked best at 1.25X speed. Increasing narration speed for some books helps keep things moving at a good pace. Narration that drags can ruin an otherwise excellent book. Loved the storyline.

On Bended Knee
Loved reading the book as the story is definitely touching and keeps you engaged until the very end! Most assuredly, it's a 5 Star book, and audiobook is as well with the narration by the talented Ewan MacRae.

The narrator’s voice is what did it for me
I could not finish this book even after giving it a really good try. I tried to get over the narrator’s rendition for the girl, but he completely botched the story. He gave the girl a whiny, high-pitched, and helpless voice that made me cringe every time. I think the story has some potential, but unfortunately the narrator made her sound like a hopeless half-wit in distress, ALL THE TIME! Too. Much. Whining!
