Summary

Treena is nervous for Rating Day. A single number will brand her forever - a valuable citizen, or a pathetic waste of space. Her top-Rated boyfriend is confident their scores will coincide so they can attend the academy together. But when the big day arrives, her true number shocks everyone.

To get her life and boyfriend back, she must go undercover and expose a military spy. Doesn't sound too hard, except that someone wants her dead. And then there's Vance, the mysterious soldier with a haunted past and beautiful brown eyes. Together, they discover a dark numbers conspiracy, one that shatters the nation's future. Treena must join up with Vance if she is to survive the dangerous game of numbers - and the terrible war that rages within her heart.

Great audiobook

What did you like most about Numbers Game?

It's in some ways similar to a lot of the books for teenagers and young adults that are popular at the moment, but it nevertheless manages to convey an exciting, new and gripping story. With some new ideas and old concepts, this audiobook is easy to listen to but not in any way boring, in contrary, there are some very thrilling passages.

Any additional comments?

Overall it's a great book, and I would definitely recommend any fiction, sci-fi and thriller fans to listen to this audiobook.

Excellent

What did you like most about Numbers Game?

Reminiscent of hunger games and divergent etc but still unique enough to be a great book!
There were some twists and a lot seemed predictable to me but I still really enjoyed it.
Well paced and good narration.
Pretty sure I missed some bits so I'm interested to listen again and hear the next in the series!
Great for teens and adults alike.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Many of the characters were good but Treena stood out, the way she developed throughout the book really keeps the reader engaged and interested. Journey and growth!
Vance was an excellent male companion for Treena.

interesting dystopian with a great plot & twists

What made the experience of listening to Numbers Game the most enjoyable?

Very good narration. It kept the pace of the book and Treena and Vance come across well as we see things from their points of view.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Treena. She starts as a character that simply believes in the good of her society, she wants to fit in, she's a nice person. Then she starts to develop as she tries to increase her ranking in society and she evolves, becomes wiser, determined to get what she wants. She is really good lead character. Saying that I thought Vance was pretty cool as well.

What about Stacey Glemboski’s performance did you like?

She paces the book well and is very easy to listen too which means it's even easier to get drawn into the world and into this very good book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't like to spoil books so instead of answering this I'd say that the book has a great premise, is an engaging world, a failed utopia and the main characters are excellent. Treena's character is not an unrealistic ninja-teen, but a girl caught in a society's hierarchical system that she thinks she believes in but deep inside her she knows is wrong, and this book takes us on her journey because after what she realises she knows that she has to change it for herself and maybe everyone else will be better off as well.
