Summary

The number one best-selling series that Audible listeners call “wonderfully entertaining”, “packed with humor, geek references and thought-provoking storylines”, and performed by “a true master story teller and actor” returns as the Bobs face their deadliest challenge yet.

The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all.

But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy. Sure, it could settle the Fermi Paradox for good (and what Bob doesn’t want to solve a mystery of the universe?). But it also reveals a threat to the galaxy greater than anything the Bobs could have imagined.

Just another average day in the Bobiverse.

Sci-fi without forced conflict/despair

What I love about these books is that the Bobiverse isn't always hanging at a knives edge. Even large problems are fairly realistic in how they are approached.

Is there tension? Sure. Are there problems that need solving? Galore. Does the hero need to fight through the pain to defeat the bad guy or we're all doomed this very second? Thankfully no.

I love these books and as long as he keeps pumping them out I'll keep buying them. They're interesting, novel and thoughtful.

Bob is my hubby

Hits the spot every time. Im not the same age as original Bob so I don't get all the references but the ones that I do get are truly beautiful and makes me wanna be a Von Neuman probe every time.

Enjoyable but missing context confusing

Having read all the Bobbyverse series a very long time ago I found this book a good extension but there were so many references to historical events without any refresher, that it distracted from the overall story. Having said that there were a few times when I laughed out loud

I do hope this is not the last

Yet another wonderful Bobiverse book. Every bit as good as the previous ones and once again a great narrator

exactly what I was looking for.

more of the same, bobs being bobs. lots of twists and turns and a real credit to the author for expanding the bobiverse and keeping the same feelings throughout.

Better than ever!

One of my favourite series ever, book 4 was probably my least favourite if you can say that as it was still really good but then listening to this brings back memories of how much I enjoyed the first one. Ray Porter delivers as usual and Mr Taylor hasn’t let me down with the story!!!

setup, not filler

A good entry into the series with lots of set-up and exploration. reminds me of book 2. I did miss the heavens river style adventure but we did get a bit of that! overall, honestly, I just wish the book was longer! could have done with more immediate existential threats but I'm excited to see where the tangles made here lead!
