Dale Kinsall, DVM, and his young Beagle Sully are brand new to the high desert of the American Southwest. Dale’s new boss is less than pleased that scandal and chaos seem to trot along at Dale’s heels. Before much longer it becomes evident that Dale, Sully, and the clinic are all at risk, even as Dale’s fledgling relationship with a local colleague turns serious in more ways than one.

This is a fun murder mystery, with a beagle with as much personality as all the other characters. It's a lovely night time story with Tom Schiff's voice making you feel safe among all the bodies being found.

I’ve never gone for the sleuth + pet genre before but gave this a try on recommendation.
I’m so glad I did.
Sully was a sweetheart and his little moments were great.
On to book 2 :)

With it's captivating mystery aspects, very nice character formation and comedical elements, this is a great book to amuse yourself with.

Well written and will narrated, I will certainly try out the next book in the series off the back of this one.
