Summary

What do an Internet scam, a conference for mystery writers, and "The Great Sausage Scandal" have in common? They're all connected to the latest adventure of Addy Zhuang, an employee of the real-life bank at 221B Baker Street tasked with answering all of the mail that mystery fans send to Sherlock Holmes.

In the sequel to Sherlock's Secretary, Addy, his true crime reporter girlfriend Zabel, and his friends Sanna and Jasper travel to Scotland in order to solve a missing persons case connected to a prop from the classic movie The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. Pretty soon, Addy and his colleagues are embroiled in a murder mystery, and the main suspect is a nobleman obsessed with one goal: hunting the Loch Ness monster!

Great Mystery.

This second book in the series is a really good listen. The characters are well developed and there are some really quirky types to be met. Nessie features but isn't the main focus of the book. Reading/listening to the first in the series would probably be an advantage but this one does work as a stand alone. An engaging mystery with plenty going on and a plethera of suspects keep you guessing until the very end. Highly recommended. Kevin Green's narration is top notch once again and really adds to the entertainment value of the story.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.

A wee little mystery to keep you guessing

I enjoyed this book. Just like a Sherlock Holmes mystery you will need all you sleuthing skills to figure this wee little mystery out. I must admit I had no clue and was shocked with who the killer turned out to be. Although with the characters rounding it up and explaining, I was surprised I hadn't figured it out too. There was a lot going on to muddy the waters and I don't just mean the Loch Ness Monster, it was cleverly crafted to give you clues with our giving it away but making it entertaining as possible. It certainly contained some unique and wacky characters to help. Information or knowledge on Sherlock Holmes wasn't required to enjoy this book and it is most definitely set in modern times with social media playing a big part. Looking forward to more books in this series.
After receiving a letter asking for Sherlock Holmes help, Addy and his girlfriend Zabel head to Scotland. While not actually being Sherlock Holmes themselves Addy's knowledge about the famous character puts him in the perfect position to help with clues about him. Two bloggers looking for the Loch Ness monster have gone missing. Well they weren't actually looking for the monster, rather the head from a prop monster used in a Sherlock Holmes film that sank in the lake. Instead they discover a Lord obsessed with killing the monster, his daughter trying to keep the family home running by offering writer conferences and a step brother with no skills other than taking care of the true hire, a grumpy waiter who doesn't want to wait on people and somebody trying to frame them for the missing boys deaths. Can Addy and Zabel get to the bottom of this mystery?
I liked the narrator. He did some good voices and even gave some characters accents making yourself u feel like you were in Scotland.
