About this listen
My Brother Ron is based on the true-life events of Todd and Ron Santos. This story is rooted in emotion, and coupled with motivation and inspiration. While Ron Santos recovers from a horrific hit and run, Todd ascends to NCAA history.
Prologue
Ron Santos dreams of following in his big brother's footsteps as a big time high school and college quarterback, but that's when tragedy interferes with the promise of youth. Based on true events.
Current Day
Ron and Rob Santos kick and toss clothes, sporting equipment and shoes under their beds and in their closets, before heading to Todd's football game. Todd is the oldest of the three Santos brothers. They giggle and make faces at each other, as they banter back and forth, urging the other to hurry. The bond between all of the brothers is very tight, as they flourish in their formative years.
With three busy and very popular boys in the household, the Santos family adds another mouth to feed when the parents of Ron's best friend, Eddie Rocha, are deported, which adds challenges for the family. But soon, Eddie becomes a vital part of their lives.
Several years later after leaving their mark in California high school football, all three Santos boys and Eddie have moved on to college, however, after the second game of Ron's collegiate career, Ron is struck by a speeding car, and at the same time, pushes several of his teammates away, thus, saving their lives.
Soon, Eddie Rocha finds himself lying on the hard, cool pavement on the streets of Oakland, California, crying, urging his best friend to hold on, as the sirens of the ambulance and police cars blare in the distance. Ron and the lives of his family will forever change.
