About this listen
I listen to the familiar sound which once sent me to my knees. I listen while the wind howls with rage. I shout, "Stop. Stop. Please." I listen to my beating heart unite with time. I listen while I tell myself you are no longer mine. I listen to the wind roar. Once again, it starts to begin. I listen to my voice to calm the storm held within. I listen to the Angels call out your name. I listen and hear only the sound of a mother's pain.
On a cold dark evening on February 6, 2000, what was called the Millennium year, around five pm, Rosie was getting ready to prepare the teatime meal before going out that evening. She was heading off into Edinburgh to meet up with other dance associates, who all belonged to the regular dancing core she met up with on a weekly basis to learn to dance.
