About this listen
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Fairy-in-Waiting, written and read by Sophie Kinsella.
Hello. I'm called Ella Brook, and I live in a town called Cherrywood. I have blue eyes and dark brown hair. My best friends at school are Tom and Lenka. My worst enemy is Zoe. And then there is my mummy. She looks normal, like any other mummy...but she's not. Because she can turn into a fairy. She just has to shut her eyes tight, say 'Marshmallow'...and poof! She's Mummy Fairy.
Ella's family has a big secret - her mummy is a fairy! She can do amazing spells with her computawand. Only sometimes the spells go a bit wrong, and that's when Ella steps in to the rescue. In this brand-new book of magical adventures, there are very naughty monkeys, a swimming pool filled with ice cream, and the best birthday party ever - complete with giant cakes and fairy dust.
And after so much fun and adventure, will Ella get her wish and become a magical fairy, just like her mum?

Lovely stories
There are a series of stories in one book divided by chapters. My 3 year old loves this story! She finds it throughly entertaining and funny. I also enjoy listening with her. She finds it easy to follow and it’s become a firm favourite.
Only warning is that the wardrobe chapter might scare super little ones with very over active imaginations, my daughter didn’t know what a burglar was so it’s sort of gone over her head for now…… my son on the other hand was terrified of Father Christmas coming in the house let alone a burglar! It all ends well and there is nothing bad or horrible that happens apart from the main character spotting the man in the living room and the wardrobe saving the day.
Highly recommend!

Good story but bad narration quality
The story is as good as the first one. My children loved it. The narrator was ok but very far from the quality you usually find in Audible. Also, the volume was too soft... I felt a bit disappointed.
