Summary

With more than 15 million copies in print, More Than a Carpenter continues to be one of the most powerful evangelical tools worldwide. Josh McDowell's timeless examination of the true nature of Christ and his impact on our lives is one of the best-selling Christian books ever. Written by a former skeptic of Christianity, it answers the tough questions about Christ's deity and the historical reliability of Scripture. In a concise, understandable manner, Josh explains why Christ's claims are true and how that reality can change a person's life.

Great book but let down by the false doctrine

Solid content and really helpful but really disappointing to see that Josh puts forward the sinners prayer as the way to get right with God which isn't what the Bible teaches. Jesus never taught that and nor did the apostles. Nor do you see any accounts in the Bible of someone getting saved in that way.

a quick little book on why we chose Jesus Christ.

this book is brilliant and short. it touches on all the important aspects of defending Christianity with the right conclusion that "Christianity/being like Christ isn't something to be shoved down people's throats"

Certainly not C.S. Lewis

Where was the evidence? This guy is just cranking out books, not much substance. Bart Ehrman offers a much better historical perspective.

Wonderful book

I enjoyed reading this book. Although I have already accepted Jesus into my heart and given him control of me, this story was one I needed to read. I was having a crisis of faith and this book showed me that God does exist. Thank you Josh McDowell.

i absolute classic piece of Christian literature.

I've read this book I have given away many copies of this book as a teenager was a major major impact on my life it is a simple to read simple to understand book. I highly recommend this book for anybody who wants to understand Christianity. evidence that demands of verdict is also in my opinion a classic piece of Christian literature. although from my memory as a teenager this one was more for the brainiacs than the intellectuals. but I plan on rereading that one. Josh McDowel is somebody that I would like to meet someday. part of my bucket list here or in this book brings back so many memories

Life changing

I first read this book over twenty years ago. Getting to listen to it on Audible and immerse myself in it while I drive, or whenever is a blessing.
