Wish I Had This in High School
My teenage cousin and I listened to this together and it opened up so many important conversations we never had in school. It lays out money concepts in a way that actually makes sense—no boring lectures or confusing jargon. She started budgeting with her allowance for the first time and even opened a small savings account. Watching her feel empowered and excited about managing her own money has been amazing. Honestly, I learned a few things too and I’m well into my 30s!

Great Advice for Teens (and Adults too, Really)
For some reason, the average school-age person is not taught money skills, which can create financial stress during high school and college--and also well into the adult years. What I love about this book is how well it is written as a book for teens. It is easy to slap "for teens" on a book title, but a teen-friendly book must straddle the line between boring and lacking in relevance (focused too much on adult audiences) and condescending (sounds like your parent wrote it). This book succeeds in talking to teens in a relatable way and with respect. Also, while the book covers a lot of ground (budgeting, credit, investing, even crypto, and more), it does so in short, easily digestible chapters, so the busy teen will be more likely to keep coming back to the book when time allows.

Money Skills are Important for Teens
How to manage money and, your relationship with money is such an important life skill. It's not taught in the schools my kids go to, so it is really on the parents and the kids to self educate to learn finances. I bought this for my teenager and college kids to help them. I wanted to read through it as well so we could have open discussions. I discovered it is set up for parents and teens to work together so that is nice. This bundle covers everything from budgeting ,saving to investing and building credit, all in a way that’s simple and easy to understand. The advice on student loans and avoiding common mistakes is exactly what I want for my young adult kids. This book includes financial strategies they can start using right away, and my kids are feeling more confident about financial decisions. They actually have a financial plan now which is comforting.

Practical and motivating for teens starting out
This audiobook takes financial topics that can feel overwhelming and makes them approachable for teens. It keeps things simple without being dull. What stood out to me was how it explains the why behind money choices, not just the how. It leaves room for mistakes while encouraging smart habits early. I liked how it spoke directly without sounding like a lecture. If you want something that introduces budgeting and saving in a clear and honest way, this does the job well and keeps it interesting.

Finance guidance my teen understands
Bought this for my 16-year-old who rolled his eyes at first. Two weeks later, he's tracking expenses on his phone and actually saved part of his paycheck! The budgeting section sparked real conversations about college costs we'd been avoiding. Simple examples and clear steps without talking down to teens. My son even explained compound interest to his younger sister! Wish I'd had this at his age - would've avoided some painful money mistakes of my own.

Wish I Had This When I Was a Teen
I got this for my younger cousin, and we ended up going through parts of it together. Honestly, I wish someone had handed me this kind of guide when I was in high school. It breaks down money in a way that’s super relatable—budgeting, saving, and even investing—without being boring or too adult. My cousin actually wanted to keep reading, which says a lot. It’s clear, practical, and made him feel more confident about managing his own money. If you’re trying to help a teen build solid habits early, this is a great place to start.

Teen Finance Guide Worth Every Penny
I got this audiobook for my 16-year-old's summer road trip after catching him buying $100 sneakers with no concept of his dwindling savings. To my shock, he listened to the entire thing without complaint!
The budgeting section sparked genuine conversations about his spending habits. He created his first actual budget using the app recommended in the book and has stuck with it for three weeks (a miracle for a teenager). The side hustle chapter motivated him to start a small lawn care service for neighbors who were already bringing in weekly income.
What impressed me most was how the narrator spoke directly to teens without talking down to them. The student loan section prompted my son to research college costs and scholarships much earlier than I'd expected. Now he's asking thoughtful questions about investing his lawn care money!
This audiobook accomplished what years of my lectures couldn't - getting my teen to care about financial responsibility. It is worth every penny for parents wanting to raise financially savvy kids.
