Great guidance

Like many parents out there, I've witnessed those frustrating moments on the field when our child has self-doubt and it completely messes with his head. My son has full plans to get a college scholarship for playing baseball so he has asked me how can he do better at getting his head in the game and making sure he's on the right path to getting what he wants. So, as any mom does, I started looking for resources on resilience. This book covers everything I was looking for. The book offers practical guidance on creating even a home gym on a budget, safe ways to improve body composition, and comprehensive workout plans. My son has immediately implemented the workout plan and is already feeling more stronger and agile.

If you are a parent who has a kid who dreams of more and wants to be the best athlete they can be, then getting a book on resilience training will reshape their lives.

Such good info for young athletes!

This is such a needed listen in todays world where there is so much pressure put on young people in sports. Teens need to train and be mentally prepared before they move onto college so they do not get burnt out and this is exactly the audiobook to listen to!

Excellent resource for teen athletes!

I was very impressed with this audiobook and the quality of the content within it. It is evident that LD Harris has a wealth of experience in the area of physical training and mental resilience for young athletes. As a personal trainer, I was humbled by the additional knowledge I learned from the book, and I will most certainly be using the principles and coaching techniques that are advised for my clients.

I love how the book is presented in a linear structure that builds on itself, such as the education on cardiovascular training right through to strength, flexibility, agility, and recovery. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on strength training, as this is my own specialty, and I was impressed by the level of detail that was included, such as using periodization for athletes of different sports categories to monitor their training efforts for specific goals and to avoid overtraining.

I would also like to add that the mini-chapter on nutrition was very informative and offers sound and practical advice for fueling young athletes for the sports they perform. Overall, very well-written and researched book by an experienced author!
