More far fetched than a living megalodon

As much as I have enjoyed this series, this one I think is one too many. I've watched the film, I've read both versions of the first book. This one I had to stop listening.

Fun

I enjoyed relistening to this series, still got issues with the constant push of evolution. But if you can turn that off it's quite enjoyable.

The narrator has some annoying habits, mispronunciation of archipelago and a few other words. Later in the series his accents end up all over the place, especially when he's swapping between Scottish and Arabic accented English.

Will come back to it as and when I want a mindless listen.

He even gave morgan freemans voice a try!

Was a brilliant read by Keith Szarabajka, great story by Steve Alten. Kind of saw the ending coming somewhat but was disappointed at the cliff hanger type ending. Now im going to have to wait what will feel like an eternity for the next book. I'm addicted enough Steve! I don't need cliff hangers thrown into the mix!
Highly recommend this book series as always, amazing stories that make my day. I find myself not wanted to get out of the car when i listen to these books.

Fantastic

A great book, from a great author, I have loved this series ever since I bought the my first cope of meg when it was first released. Ever since then I have never been able to get enough of them!!!

I have been waiting for Generations for what seems like ages, but it has all been so worth while, the story was fast paced with good introduction of new characters and returning favourites. Once again we’ve been left with a really epic cliff hanger, so here comes the wait for the next book.

This is a great book, referencing parts from previous novels which was a nice touch as it has made me now want to go back and go through them again!!

I would like to thank Steve for this series and all his other great works he has done, it has kept me entertained and enthralled for hours.

The weakest of the Megs

It's all getting a bit samey. There was a new bitey fish but not much else. Seemed more of a vehicle to advertise iPhones. Nobody seemed capable of doing anything without checking their iPhone. Other mobile phones are available.

Disappointed with this instalment

I've been a fan of the Meg series from the start, but for me I think the series peaked at Hells Aquarium. At this point with the characters having 30 years experience dealing with these creatures you would hope that at least sometimes a plan would succeed without death and destruction. Surely the Taylors can't keep making these same mistakes and still be the go to choice for capturing and housing these eating machines?

Ultimately the reworking of people get eaten by sea monsters is what the series is all about, and there are only so many ways this can be done, so fair enough. However the pseudo-scientific tangents are getting too convoluted to keep track of and really ruined this and the previous book for me. The crossover with Vostok in the previous book was terrible (some sort of time travel, I have no idea what the writer was going for but it made no sense), and the tangents in this one dealing with stem cell miracle cures and acupuncture (?!) were totally bizarre and painful to listen to.

I think the author might be running out of ideas and it may be time to leave the Mariana Trench and its inhabitants alone for good.

Meg:generations

So very boring. Difficult to believe it was written by Steve Alten. Could have done without the cancer treatments as anyone with half a brain already has information. Will be returning audio book without finishing.
