Lovely story superbly narrated

Very enjoyable and interesting.
I was a bit uncertain about this novel for the first couple of chapters but then got into the rhythm of it. Ultimately I really enjoyed it.
Interesting characters and the episodes of their lives that were shared were easy to engage with.
I like the themes of the Tollund Man and the farm, weaving throughout the story and the theme of family and children.
Well done Anne, a very enjoyable read.

Excellent
This audiobook had me totally engrossed - the characters come alive, to the point that I really would like to visit Silkeborg Museum myself. The book would make an excellent film too.

A delight!
This is a gentle novel that unravels chronologically, a delight in the era of 'chopped up narratives. The characters are developed and believable. Beautiful descriptions permeate throughout.

Not my usual reading
This is my usual kind of format of book. I have read them before but this book had letters that asked question that made one think and peruse how they applied to one's own life or opinion.
I found it very thought provoking and refreshing read although by the time I finished I had been wanting it to. There is another book in where it is left if the writer wanted to write a sequel.
I read this after doing another thing I didn't usually do and read The Catch - The Freshwater Five book on audible which as is a book to think about. That also is a good read and do recommend.
I think I am read for my usual read now, a mystery or a not so predictable checklist, if there is one!
