The only problem is, that the sound quality is not the best, you really have to struggle to understand the words at times.

My favourite book
Narration is clear, and the voice is rich and inviting. Couple this with the Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius, and you'll have a great listen.

Original Roman text read at a relatively fast pace
It's the original text written in the then current style of Roman writing (think shakespear) without any modern translation, and whilst I might not be averse to listening to the original. The pace makes it quite difficult.
Just as my brain is trying to construct the sentence in it's original form and translate it into the current meaning the narrator has moved on.
It's difficult to understand and almost impossible to digest.
The narrator's pace if slowed down may help but it would still be difficult.

The narration...
I brought this version because it's super cheap and the narrator has a nice old school accent which I thought would add to the book, but actually, it's almost impossible to understand! I will be returning this book I will buy the actual version with up to date English narration.
