About this listen

Meditating on the Vayus contains four different guided meditation sessions suitable for everyone. Each session uses a range of simple techniques that will enable you to discover, enhance and balance the movement of energy around the body. The sessions complement yoga, meditation and pranayama practices and will take your knowledge to a whole new level whilst leaving you feeling great.

In yoga prana is regarded as our vital life force. It is the energy that is present throughout the entire universe and shared by all living beings.

Prana flows in many different directions. These different flows of prana are known as Vayus (vayu translates to mean wind). Within the body there are five main flows of prana. These are known as the Pancha Prana Vayus. Meditating on the Vayus focuses on these five main flows. Three of the sessions are 15 minutes in length and are followed whilst seated, and the fourth is 25 minutes and is to be followed whilst lying down. Each session is clearly instructed and is suitable for all levels.

Each vayu influences different actions, organs, emotions, moods and chakras. When the prana flows freely through all of the vayus we are able to experience physical and emotional balance and an incredible sense of well-being.

Meditating on the Vayus has been devised and narrated by Sue Fuller. Sue is a leading yoga teacher, writer and training course author. She is the founder of the Yoga 2 Hear range of audio yoga classes and has been teaching yoga and meditation globally since 1995.
