About this listen
How many words do we use when we speak? According to some publications, while a two-year-old baby uses around 200 words, a beginner in any language needs around 2,000 to communicate. And an expert user can employ up to 40,000! But knowing words and their meanings is hardly enough.
If you want to learn Spanish to actually use it, be it for traveling, working, or studying, you need to really master your vocabulary. You need to know synonyms, you need to know which prepositions are used next to which verbs, and how words change their meaning in different contexts.
In this audiobook, we offer a comprehensive list of the 3,000 most frequent words of the Spanish language, according to the Real Academia Española, Spain's official royal institution dedicated to the Spanish language. We did not just include the words and their meanings, but also eventual indications for you to understand the use of the word since translations are otherwise incomplete.
For example, we indicate if it’s a masculine or feminine word, if it’s a plural word, and if it belongs to a verbal tense that does not translate literally into English. Additionally, we indicate if the word has more than one meaning, so you can avoid confusion. And, of course, for each word we include a practical example - a sentence that, in a few words, tells a story and helps you understand how the word is used in the real Spanish-speaking world.
By the time you’re finished with this audiobook, your vocabulary will be comparably better, richer, and wider. Ready to give it a go? Start right away! You’ll feel the difference...and everyone else will notice, too!

Good way for learning language. Great book.
Very helpful for absolute beginners. I like the book format. This is a great tool to start learning Spanish. I find very useful to see words in a sentence. It makes memorization better. This book is my favourite vocabulary learning method now. Very easy to follow. I believe this book can assist you in building your essential Spanish vocabulary. My Spanish has improved a lot. And the accompanying PDF book also great. Highly recommend for anyone trying to learn Spanish language.

Great overall with a few errors
CONS:
First thing I noticed is that there is a pretty comical error in the first section of the
book and audio. It jumps from word 70 to 80. So we are missing
words there. As every single example includes a Spanish sentence
repeated twice and then an English sentence it can take forever to get through
just 30 words on audio. He repeats, "meaning' and 'that is,' 'again that is' 3,000 times.
That just wastes so much time when you are trying to review. Sure, do
it for the first few words then cut out all that unnecessary padding from the audio.
Although the example sentences have really helped with comprehension and
caused me to pickup a lot more Spanish words in context, it would be great if the audio had a version that lets you just hear the words and translations too for quicker recap. The supplied PDF book is poorly and inefficiently layed out. Fonts are tiny, there is poor hierarchy in terms of type choice and weight. Make the words we are learning stand out not blend in with the sentences below, it's hard to pick them out at a glance. Also everything is on a single column. A 2 column layout would make it easier to scan and review. It looks like something layed out in MS WORD.
But all that said the vocab selection is great and I have learned lots.
In summary it is good overall but you like anything you must put the effort in.
There are suggestions above that could make it less an 'audio version of our book'
but more a useful learning tool.

It is very complete and interesting.
The vocabulary is organized by categories such as language or themes. The surveys are easy to pair with the subject matter, somewhat than merely being casual vocabulary words.

This audiobook is great.
Not only does it provide you sentences that are not clear with the most commonly used words, but it also has the nouns and verbs split towards the end so if you want to practice the most used verbs you can with comfort. Really great guide!!!
