About this listen
Sugar, spice, and everything nice; that's what witches' spells should be made of...
Running to Summerpoint to avoid my failed love life may have seemed drastic, but I'd just inherited a house from a distant relative. The timing was perfect, almost like magic. But the cottage is in need of repairs, the place is in the middle of a forest, and I'm not used to small towns.
Then I meet my new contractors. Sexy doesn't begin to describe them. The flirting flows easily, and while they're a well-established couple, it seems they may have room for more. Even better, these guys are quickly getting to be a lot more than just friends.
There has to be a catch, and it doesn't take long to figure out what's really wrong with this idyllic little town. It's the founding families. They're the descendants of the people who started this place centuries ago, and it seems they believe in monsters, magic, and the superiority of witches.
Yes, witches—and not the nice kind. Now, I'm in their sights, along with my men, and we don't have the power to stop them! Is there any way out of this, or will this coven's greed destroy us all?
Magic in the Moonlight is the engrossing first book in the Where The Wild Things Grow series, set in the larger Moonlight Universe. For mature listeners.

I love the way Auryn writes, it’s like she’s weaving a spell.
This book was good from the start, it did slow a little in the middle, but then what an ending! Already onto book two!
Another great book!

Loved it

I love Auryn's books, just in general. And as usual, the characters in this book are pretty good, and there are lots of characters outside the main RH group, each with their own personality. The characters are introduced slowly, allowing us to get to know them over time rather than having to deal with tons of characters from stage 1.
About the only problems I had with the book... it was like preaching to the choir. You aren't going to be reading Auryn's books if you are freaked out about MM, non-binary, or anything like that. Because her books always are very inclusive. The problem was... it has to be mentioned CONSTANTLY which genders people, forest creatures, etc. were using and why. Once or twice, ok. But it ended up just going over and over and over the same thing.
If you haven't read Auryn Hadley's books before, start with a different series in this universe. I just couldn't give this more than 4 stars for the story.
Performance: I seriously loved all the narrators. I need to track down more of Katana Jones; she has the most flexible voice and is seriously fun to listen to. Aiden Snow and Aaron Shedlock are just as amazing as usual. :)
Fun RH, but very 'preachy'
