Summary
When 16-year-old Maggie Simms’ mum loses her battle with cancer, the only family she has left is her abusive stepfather, Kenny. Horrified to discover he intends to continue his nightly abuse, Maggie is driven to put a stop to him once and for all.

Keeps you guessing
Wonderfully written and beautifully narrated. The story gets you hooked in and keeps you guessing till the end. plenty of plot twists. Very graphic at the start. So listen with caution if it's triggering.

Kept me guessing
Strong characters, likeable & despicable. Kept me guessing until a few chapters from the end. Quite graphic abuse early chapters that could disturb some people.

Kept me guessing for longer than most!
I really enjoyed this book from start to end! There were no dramatic or unbelievable parts of the story, and thankfully no ‘as if’ moments. I enjoyed not guessing the villain and being wrong about it. I did get the answer just before it became obvious but even at the end there was still a twist. Great story and narrative.

A new fab author to add to the list. This was such a gripping listen!!! 5 stars plus all round.
I loved this book from start to finish. I only wish it had been longer. I’ve listened to this in one afternoon. I couldn’t stop and not listen. It’s a fantastic story and the narrator was excellent. Really made the book. I wish I could award more than 5 stars. It’s very deserving. This is another new author to add to my list and I’m off to download and buy another book by the author. You will regret not listening to this is you don’t. It was gripping from start to finish. I did work the ending out at the end but other than that,it truly was fab!!! Gone in my collections to keep to listen to again at some point. Thank you Audible for the free listen………

Waste of time
Predictable ending, I wanted to give up loads of times but I had nothing better to do. Narration was awful. I would never read another book from this author .
