What the world saw, and what it didn't.

Nothing could ever have prepared me for this. Some days it breaks me, and I can't even bear to do it. I always thought I was tough, but it brings me to my knees every single time.

Safiyya's beautiful baby daughter, Azaylia, was eight weeks old when she was diagnosed with leukaemia. By the age of eight months, Safiyya and her partner, Ashley, had to say their final goodbye.

This is Safiyya's account of motherhood, hope and loss. It is about the unbreakable and incomparable bond between mother and daughter...about what happens to a family when they face a life without the person that completed them, putting listeners in the shoes no parent wants to be in. But, above all, it's a celebration of a remarkable little life that showed spirit that no baby should have to and a family who loved and fought to hold onto every precious moment.

The best book I've ever listened to!

Just simply beautiful and heartbreaking. This book had me in tears , a story of love , strength, fight and most importantly the beautiful bond between mother and daughter that can never be broken. I feel so much sadness for Saffiya and Ashley, they are an inspiration. Definitely worth a listen, it will make you realise that love is the most important aspect of life, nothing else matters, beautiful book.

Sad but beautiful

Such a sad but beautiful story. I lost my son in 2019 and have followed Saf and Ashley’s story for a long time now. I’m glad I could support Saf by purchasing this book. It is so beautiful written. Sad but so beautiful. I would recommend this book to everyone, it shares such an important message through out, strength, courage and persistence. Let’s go champ! I hope it’s nice in paradise. May you rest easy.

What a wonderful mum and book!!

This book has made me feel all types of emotion, saf speaks so eloquently and honestly and at times I’m not sure how she found the strength but wow this book is a must read and even if you haven’t experienced loss of a child she shows you how to be strong and face each day no matter what you might be going through!

A Must Read

An amaizing account of the full story behind this amaizing little girls journey with cancer. I thought I knew what there was to know from following them online, but this brave account from the start of their relationship to losing her, not only opened my eyes to how hard this must have been for them but also what incredible human beings they are.

Love to you both and the family.

Breathtaking

a truly beautiful encapsulation on the Cain family’s personal journey with Azaylia on her battle with cancer. An extremely personal, vulnerable and heart tugging book that will leave you smiling with tears streaming down your eyes. Let’s go Champ.
