a mixed bag
bit of a mixed bag here some of the short stories are brilliant, and a pleasure to listen to. Others were not so good and were a challenge to listen to.

Mixed but generally good collection
As with most collections like this, the stories varied from really good to forgettable. Nothing stood out as bad but it is long and I did feel if I listened to a few at a time they did seem to bleed into one another. The narrator was solid with exception of the odd dodgy accent. Personally I like collections of stories to mix up the narrator's a little. All in all,
would recommend, credit well spent.

Excellent collection of stories
Some really good stories that capture the imagination. My first introduction to Lovecraft monsters and certainly worth the wait.

One more for my baby....
Would you try another book written by Neil Gaiman and Ellen Datlow (Editor) or narrated by Bernard Clark?
Yep
What did you like best about this story?
Good mix of HPL inspired stories, all an hour-ish long so great for a commute. Some better than others but good fun. Got to the monsters without the pages of vague waffle about architecture and bas-reliefs that the great man was so fond of.
Any additional comments?
Well worth a read, as with most short story collections, a chapter listing would be great rather than just numbers.

Lovecraft
My first venture into Lovecrafts world and it’s okay. I can see where he has influenced others who write in the sci fi/horror genre. Of course the wonderful 80’s flick The Reanimator was based on a story of his too.
On the whole I found these stories of their time.

Great romp through a Lovecraftian haunted world
Very enjoyable collection of stories. Narator's accents varied from chilling to almost comical in places

Could have enjoyed this more
A collection of many short stories from various authors. Some are quite enjoyable, some not so much and some are barely related to the Mythos at all. Not that impressed.

some good bits, mainly dull
I found the narrator dull and monotonous which may have robbed some stories of their life. got this mainly for the Niel gaimen story, which was the highlight of the book for me. mainly found the stories interesting at best and often just dull.

Wish I could rate the stories separately
There are some really good stories in here and some definitely not so much.

A great collection of dark tales
we live on a placid island of ignorance, in a black sea of infinity... and it was not meant that we should voyage far.
Having said this - you will certainly voyage fat whilst listening to this darkly engrossing collection of lovecraft inspired tales! I couldn't put this down!!
