Summary

Imagine a young ER doctor confronting a patient in the Lonely Pines Hospital emergency room in 1981 Ohio, where both of their lives might be turned upside down and spun in a completely different direction.

This riveting medical sci-fi story will have you wondering if you’ve ever experienced a similar bizarre incident, and how time, space, and historical events may be more fluid than we ever thought possible. Beware; a strange visitor may already have your number.

"Something about those eyes ..."

Any additional comments?

January, 1981, and an emergency patient is admitted to the hospital at Lonely Pines, Ohio John Smith has severe chest pains and looks old, very old, possibly over one hundred years old. But he seems to know more about the doctor than he should ..

This delightful if predictable short story, well conceived and written, was a pleasure to hear and Kenneth Campbell's slow gentle delivery fitted the text in pace and style.. My thanks to the rights holder who gifted me a copy of Lonely Pines, via Audiobook Boom. Reminiscent of tales from The Twilight Zone, it was poignant and very enjoyable.
