Le commissaire Adamsberg, lui, ne rit pas. Ces cercles et leur contenu hétéroclite "suintent" la cruauté. Il le sait, il le sent : bientôt, de l'anodin saugrenu on passera au tragique.

Excellent! Gripping story, as always with Vargas.

The character of Adamsberg is introduced, and he is described in detail at certain points in the story. His lieutenant Danglard too. The ending is perhaps a bit far-fetched - but who cares! Well read by Jacques Frantz.
