About this listen

Includes 15 video chapter lessons!

David Molnar was never supposed to be a professional photographer. Until the fateful day he almost died from a head on collision. While learning to walk again, photography became his escape and a form of therapy. But he found that turning pro in photography wasn't clear. There is no Bar exam for photography. He wished he had a mentor to show him the way. He struggled for a decade using trial and error before finding eventual success.

His work has now been seen by hundreds of millions of people in publications like The New York Times, People Magazine, USA Today, on billboards, on album covers and on millions of Pepsi and Mountain Dew cans. This book is the guide he wished he'd had 20 years ago. David promised himself that if he ever figured out photography, he would become the mentor for others that he never had. So he created this book which describes his easy five step path that anyone can use to become a great photographer, and turn pro if they want. Whether you want to pursue photography for passion or for profit, this book is for you!

Sounds easy if you put in the hours.

Great speaking style - like a best friend telling you how to. Lots of things I never thought about regarding business and marketing. I can take an acceptable photograph, but I need to pass the imposter stage before I think about charging money. I’m interested in small part time business with weddings but in the English Wild West people are not rich. There are photographers out here that I wouldn’t ask to shoot my life - my wife makes better iPhone shots. But the seven times makes it more difficult. $40+ a month is way too much for a fixed income to find.

My Fav Photography audiobook so far...

Just posting this review because it has no UK reviews so far and it absolutely needs the recognition it deserves.

I've listened to almost all of the instructional photography audiobooks I could find on audible UK and this one so far is my favourite.

He shares his personal story making the book feel relatable and then goes on to share many useful tips and common mistakes many photographers make. Most of the other books give generic information that you can find on any photography for beginners guide. David here goes into a little more detail and focuses more on how to see like a good photographer which is really what creates a good image (once you understand how to use your camera etc).

Each chapter is also backed up with a video online to help demonstrate his points. He's clearly very passionate about what he does and has put in a lot of effort to share great tips with you to reach your personal photography goals.

I'd never heard of this author before finding this on amazon. I'm just really glad I picked it up. It's been the most useful one to listen to to date...
