Good story, but i HATE STUPIDE CARACTER VOICES

What made the experience of listening to Le ver à soie (Cormoran Strike 2) the most enjoyable?

For many audiobooks it's a shame that narrators instead of just reading the book with good diction and punctuation have to play comedy and pretend they were at the theater shouting, taking old crazy voices, or Policeman who shouts. A good narrator should read his modulate his voice and leave room for the readers (us) to imagine what is written. Example when you read "she shouted, was angry" I do not need to hear the narrator scream and cry, I read a book, I do not listen to a movie or soap opera. If not I love audio books, but this side is really aggressive. Thank you.


Pour plusieurs livres audio c'est dommage que les narrateurs au lieu de simplement lire le livre avec une bonne diction et ponctuation doivent jouer la comédie et faire comme s'ils étaient au théâtre en criant, en prenant des voix de vieille folle, ou de policier qui gueule. Un bon narrateur devrait lire son moduler sa voix et laisser la place aux lecteurs ( nous ) de s'imaginer ce qui est écrit. Exemple quand on lit « elle criait, était en colère » Je n'ai pas besoin d'entendre le narrateur crier et pleurer, je lis un livre, je n'écoute pas un film ou téléroman. Si non j'adores les livres audio, mais ce côté m'agresse vraiment. Merci.

NOOOOOOOOOO. Just read the story, my imagination is alive to do the reste of enjoyable or sadness.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I think it is, maybe, not the decision of the narrator to play a role. The narrator should only read with good punctuation.

Intriguant, bien traduit, narrateur irritant

What aspect of Philippe Résimont’s performance would you have changed?

Je me suis lancé dans l'écoute des Cormoran Strike récement et j'ai vraiment préféré le narrateur du 1er qui, heureusement, reviens dans le 3ième. Philippe Résimont à une belle voix sombre et grésillante. Mais il exagère trop, à mon avis, sur les voix rauques. Cela ne ruine pas pas l'écoute, mais j'ai dû m'y faire. L'histoire demeure intriguante et supérieure au premier tome.
