About this listen
For thousands of years, Latin has been the language of the Roman people, of science, of history, and of culture. The Latin for Beginners audiobook will guide your learning of this fascinating and beautiful language.
You’ll be provided with some specific vocabulary about family members, pets, types of buildings, days of the week, months of the year, and numbers, as well as other words and phrases that become useful when building sentences. It will also teach you four of the main tenses (the present, the imperfect, the future, and the perfect) as well as noun cases and adjectival agreement.
By the end of this audiobook, you will be able to understand simple Latin sentences that you hear, produce simple Latin sentences, and be able to identify some unfamiliar words using your knowledge of grammar.
The audiobook assumes no knowledge of Latin or linguistics and will take you through everything you need to begin exploring this wonderful language.
So, whether you have never studied Latin before, are picking up the language again and wish to recap the basics, or have some knowledge and want to solidify your understanding of the foundations, this audiobook will be of benefit to you.

Very formal, not really for an audio book
I think if you were reading this and had time to sit and take notes it would be fine but pretty tough going as an audio book. No time to repeat or practice. Did like the little snippets of history though. Didn't get past chapter 1

Hard to follow
It was really hard for me to follow the book, I kept feeling I should see what he was talking about (for example with the pronunciation). Also I was looking for medical latin knowledge mainly, and this book is not for that, I didn't get any closer to understanding this language.

Clear to follow.
This is spoken well and helpful. However it would be good to have a pdf with it…as other similar books do. As an audio book…it’s frustrating for the speaker to keep prompting to look ‘below’ when you can’t see anything. Nonetheless this is a clear and helpful revision or for a complete beginner.

Latin grammar not Latin language
This was not a medium for learning the language - it was a school room grammar lesson - sorry.
