About this listen
I was raised a poor girl in the streets of Sinaloa. When my family died during a turf war, I was taken away to Navolato to start over anew. I thought I would be safer here. That the life that had been taken from me in a hail of bullets and rage would stay where I left it. And that’s when he found me. Crying, begging in the streets for spare change, hoping for someone to see me instead of through me. El Señor. He took me in. Cared for me as one of his own, raised me next to his daughter, and made me into the killer that I am today.
In his name, I shed the blood of his enemies and reap whatever rewards he deems fit. My name is Ana Sofia De la Cruz. Everyone knows me as La Carnicera; one of the most feared Sicarios of the Navolato Cartel. Either you’re with us or against us. And if you’re against us...corre, pequeño conejo.

Las Chicas del Cartel
The cartel with a twist...in this series the Sicarios are El Jefe’s hijas (daughters).
Sofi was basically adopted by the bossman after losing her parents in a war fight. She just wants Papa to see that she is just as willing to protect him as he is to protect her, su vida.
She has rightfully earned her name La Carnicera (The Butcher) because of what she does to the bodies when she’s done. Only problem is what her sister, Tati, likes to do with some of those butchered parts. EEKKK!!
I am really loving this series, Yolanda is giving me a bit of everything - Cartel, hispancis, chicas malas, just enough steam to make you hot under the collar and of course the signature awesomeness that runs through only her mind.
Can’t wait to meet Frank Freaking Larson!!!! Dude! El Gringo esperame porque ya voy (besos).
I was graciously given an Audio ARC by the narrator Kristina Beringer, so I was lucky to do some immersion reading with this one. Kristina was perfect for this series. I loved that it was read with an accent and Kristina really did a great job. I look forward to checking out other Audiobooks she’s done.
