Being a kind leader is not a weakness

Being a leader as a Maintenance Supervisor in the property management business for 35 years, I was tasked with making sure tenant satisfaction was a main priority and that everything ran smoothly. I had many people on my teams over the years and always made sure that I treated them with kindness and respect, and listened to any ideas that they might have to make sure all of the problems that arose were treated in a quick and orderly way, to keep our tenants happy. As this book points out that leading with kindness and understanding and not trying to micro-manage my teams, fostered a great relationship with them leading to a more productive team.
