Kindness Mindset in Leadership
Unfortunately, many leaders lack training in kindness. The author explains that a lack of kindness by leaders can create a toxic workplace that results in a high turnover of employees and people not enjoying the work environment, but it doesn’t have to be that way. The author explains that kindness is a learnable skill. By showing kindness to your employees and customers, you can transform your work environment to one that people enjoy and look forward to coming to work. By showing kindness, you will also show respect for others. As the author explains, it doesn’t mean you have to be a pushover; you can show kindness with a calm demeanor and warmheartedness without being intimidated, but rather firm in your beliefs and commitments. You should also incorporate positive thinking to help you power through your day. Don’t let common barriers to kindness stop you, but overcome them by being respectful and kind to those around you, and you will see the benefits returned 10-fold. I have to agree with the author; so many managers in my life lacked kindness and just wanted the job done. It would be so much better if we all could be a little kinder to one another. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. Let’s all think a little more positively and be kinder to the people around us.

effective management
This book covers the idea of effective leadership through kindness. It teaches you the skills needed to help your team effectively by providing the resources and essential knowledge for their tasks in a manner that's constructive for the work place. It teaches you how to do this from a place of kindness which will make your subordinates more receptive of their tasks. While most see kindness someone genuinely caring ease the stress of a situation others sometimes see it as a form of weakness which is why It also covers maintaining the assertiveness that an effective leader needs. Over all I think the premise is actually pretty good especially when working directly over employees but also holds value for people in middle management or corporate offices as well.
