About this listen
Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Holt has spent over a decade fighting for justice, but when DNA evidence cracks a cold case will justice finally be served?
Someone is watching.
Just months from her college graduation, Elizabeth Holt is in love and her future is brighter than the sun. But all that changes when, after a romantic birthday with her fiancée, Elizabeth returns home, unaware a secret watcher has unimaginably horrible plans for her. Left for dead . . . Days after the attack, Elizabeth emerges from a coma, but she is irrevocably changed. Compelled to find her attacker and find justice, she travels down a dark path that forces her to choose between love and her obsession—not just for herself, but other survivors.
Justice or vengeance...
Forced to choose between obsession and love, Elizabeth doggedly pursues justice for the victims of other crimes, while her attacker remains at large. Until finally she gets a call with the news shes been waiting twelve years for. But what Elizabeth learns could tear her life apart...

On edge suspense!!
There is nothing better than a good suspense filled mystery and Chris Patchell delivers with her first book in the Holt Foundation series. Elizabeth Holt is an ADA. It's not easy breaking into the boys club, but she shows them just what she is made of with each case she wins. Now with a possible lead on a cold case that is way too close to her, she is ready and willing to put this man down. DNA is a new evidence, not always reliable, but if it matches the man she knows it will, she will finally get her closure. Or will she? On the edge with each moment of this book, it's packed with scenes from the past and present. Patchell skillfully weaves a web of suspense as things begin to fall into place. I loved this one, and I can't wait to hear what is going to happen next.
The narration team of Sara Hannan and Dryw McArthur are fabulous as they bring this story alive. They are tuned in to the characters, bringing out the evil, the fear, and the need to find answers. I enjoyed their portrayal of all the different characters and their combined performance.

Loved the dual narration of Sara Hannan and Dryw McArthur
Elizabeth Holt, was once a victim, but this made her determined to become a lawyer. A decision that her husband is not happy about, he wants a stay at home wife and mum. But Elizabeth goes to law school and deals with sexist professors and a male dominate world. Elizabeth is determined to find the man who assaulted her, hopefully with the use of new DNA technology. Many years later Elizabeth comes face to face with her attacker, she must decide what to do.
A great thriller
