Summary

Nobody loves Paradise Valley more than Mayor Karen Rath, a woman who works tirelessly to keep the town’s cogs turning and the people content. This doesn’t leave much time for love and dating, but the single mom of two grown kids has better things to do.

Until a stranger comes to town.

Dahlia Granger of Hibiscus Films is on a mission. Ever since Paradise Valley hit the national news, Dahlia is compelled to create a documentary exploring the history and culture of a town founded by lesbians.

She may have an agenda. Just a tiny one.

Karen and Dahlia represent two very different sides of this film, but their attraction is undeniable. Can Dahlia peel back Karen’s veneer and reveal her true self? Or will Karen have to kick Dahlia out of her town first?

Assuming the townsfolk don’t get to Dahlia first, anyway....

Discover the truth of Paradise Valley

As always Hildred Billings wrote a sweet story with well developed characters.
Dahlia, the Filmmaker is strong headed and is trying to find the hidden truth of Paradise Valley and of course tries to see behind the curtain of the hard to read and confident Mayor Karen Rath.
Nothing in life can be so good and well rounded!
I like the whole concept of the story and i'd love to hear the rest of the series! Funny and heartwarming!
The Narrator speaks very fast, but if you slow down the speed of your Audio, it's good!

nice story

Tags: small town, coming out, continuity, workplace

Book: This Book is a stand alone and the sevenths book out of a series called “A Year in Paradise“. It’s the first book i read/heard of this series. “Julie Skies” is written from both the main characters point of views. With 3h 48m i would consider it as a nice shorter story for in between some longer books. I enjoyed this story and am now curious about the other characters in this small town called “Paradise Valley“

Narration: This book is narrated by Rachel Leblang. It was the first time I listened to her work. Sometimes i had the feeling she was reading it a bit hectic. But all in all a good Job.

Rating: 4.5 Stars out of 5, because of my little critic hens the narration
