A must listen for 2021 job market!!

During any job interview, prospective applicants should be able to confidently say that they are a suitable fit for the company culture. Recently, a study by Millennial Branding showed that during the hiring process, 43% of HR professionals rate cultural fit as the most indispensable quality applicants should have. As you conduct research into the employer, special attention must be paid to information presented on the company’s website regarding their values and mission. Further information about the company’s culture can be acquired by following the organization on social media.

Who needs to grow their career

Carr, who anchors a podcast titled “Beyond the Business Suit,” stated that the standard interview outfit for both men and women—a conservative dark business suit with dress shoes or heels—began to lose favor somewhere between 2008 and 2010. She puts the blame on the change to the rise of the tech industry. This sector has made a name for being anti-corporate, down to a culture that advocates for T-shirts and jeans. In tech, even the offices aren’t really offices as usual. They’re attics or other upper floor plans that combine industrial and commercial at the very least. The aim is to promote a culture of collaboration and camaraderie—and hypothetically, a relaxed dress code will support these notions. Thanks to the influence of technology, a lot of other industries have been going more casual, and so the idea of a job candidate arriving for an interview in formal attire can seem like a kind of disconnect.

In depth

This book is a very short summary of best practices for interviews. It gives great explanations of what to expect, and of what you need to research ahead of time. I’ve always done the research, but I feel much more equipped to do better research now and to incorporate that research into an interview. It gave me great examples of what types of questions to prepare, and how to answer some of the questions that have always tripped me up a bit.

Interview questions

While it may be appropriate to dress more casually for the next interview, you should endeavor to dress professionally. It’s preferable to be overly dressed up than to be too informally attired. Dress as if you are the boss of the company in a way that makes you stand out in the presence of others. Polish your shoes well and they should be in good condition, not grazed or worn at the heels. Your shoes and belt should match. A good-quality pair of dress shoes should be of good use in a traditional style. Seek advice and ask questions from sales personnel at a shoe store. Be sure to shave the morning of the interview section, whether you usually shave daily or not. If your beard or mustache is full, it should be trimmed, neat and good looking. This may seem like a lot of rules, but these are the general guidelines you should follow when deciding what to wear to an interview. Professional dressing shows respect for yourself, the recruiter, and the organization seeking to hire. You may not appear in this outfit daily at work, but you will be treated with due respect when you adopt a professional dress code.

G. Gigby nails how to ace the job interview!

The success of every interview starts with understanding the needs of the company or firm posting an opening. What are the technical and educational skills, qualifications, and responsibilities expected of the intended employee. Can you assess your ability as an applicant to meet these needs? Answers to these questions will enable you to insert yourself into the correct role and help you sail through an interview as smoothly as possible since you will the means to answer whatever questions may be posed.

At the outset, I was not serious about this course but as I started listening to this I got the material which I was looking for as well as it boosted my morale to face interviews, and I cracked next two interviews one after another.

I definitely recommend this course to job seekers.

Great book indeed

Great book indeed. My son listened to this book the night before his interview and the next day he interviewed, he got the job before the interview was over. With that, I will be recommending this book to anyone who is in their job search or preparing for an interview. Hoping that you will also pass the job interview.
