About this listen
Pimsleur® equals success. Just one 30-minute lesson a day gets you speaking and understanding like no other program. Indonesian Phase 1, Units 11-15 build on material taught in prior units. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Indonesian. Reading Lessons begin in Unit 11 and provide you with an introduction to reading Indonesian. These lessons are designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent. A Reading Booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format. This course teaches Standard Indonesian pronunciation as spoken in and around Jakarta. The first ten Units of Pimsleur's 30-Unit Indonesian Comprehensive Program, replaces the Compact Indonesian.

Good Methodology Dreadful Story
I like the methods used by Pimsleur but I can't understand why the stories are so poor. I have never head anyone speak like they do in Pimsleur. The sentences are bordering on the absurd.
Furthermore, a lot of units 11-15 deal with learning numbers at the expense of learning useful vocabulary and grammar. Learning numbers in a foreign language is trivial and can be done without assistance-ie. Learn 1 then 2 then 3 etc

Pimsleur's usual high standard
The speakers have nice accents. Following them I was able to make myself understood with native speakers and received good feedback on my accent. The course is the Pimsleur standard, people either like it or they don't, but it is the best available approach to the very beginnings of a language, when you don't even know how it sounds.
This also contains a writing course in addition to the usual lessons. You can choose whether to do them during the lessons, or save them to the end. I recommend you do the latter. They are also at the end of the course.
