Summary
Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something....
Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine, too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is, he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns - Norse destiny deities - to punish her for defying them. So Raine comes up with a plan.... She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

information incorrect
This is one of my favourite books in the runes Series, but i find it frustrating that the character names are getting changed during the reading of the book. Cora's father is Jeffery Jemison yet his author name is Jeffery Cooper !!! cooper is Raines family name then when Mrs Jemison then calls him James when it gets close to the end of the story . this is off putting and these books are expensive I expect better from Audible Author's and Narrator

An explosive storyline with great characters
What made the experience of listening to Immortals the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed the whole Norse mythology in the book, and having them the bad guys, yeah, that was pretty cool.
What did you like best about this story?
Norse Mythology + Hotty Immortal, kick arse female lead. Great storyline. The storyline is filled with twists and turns, romance and laughs and I loved the characters a little more with each page turn.
What does Stephanie Terry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The gods vs Raine. Love going against massive obstacles. Stephanie brings all of this to life. A lovely voice to listen too and one that matches this book brilliantly. She paces the story well and her characterisation is brilliant.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Amazing action sequences, norse mythology written extremely well and the best kind of romance and friendships. It's good.

I love The Runes Series
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it is a great story within a fantastic series, I do not know anyone who would not enjoy it, young or old.
What did you like best about this story?
I love that Raine is growing into who and what she is whilst battling the Norn's and trying to find a way to to help Torin regain his memory of how they feel about each other. And if that is not enough she finds that Eirik is having issues too. I mean, what is not to love.
What about Stephanie Terry’s performance did you like?
I think she narrated the book very well, in fact so well I fell asleep the first time I listened. I do feel that I will stick to reading for as long as I am able.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I always laugh and cry with the characters. I was so angry with the Norn's, they are not a nice people.
Any additional comments?
Audible books, sadly, ae not for me as I like to get into the book and lose myself to the fantasy that therein lies. I find I cannot do that when someone is reading to me but that in no way detracts from the good narration.

Just simply amazing.
Where does Immortals rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I think in the very first 3. I have listened to few audiobooks and I have to admit this one is one of the best one.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Immortals?
I think the whole book is memorable. But I love how Ednah captured Raine's feelings towards Torin. Her passion. Her believe. And also the fact that she never gives up.
Which character – as performed by Stephanie Terry – was your favourite?
I love all of them. But Raine was brilliant and also Torins accent was just yum.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yup. Cried, laughed, cursed. All sorts of emotional roller coaster. That's why I love it !
Any additional comments?
Just grab it and listen. It's an amazing story that pulls you in and helps you with dull travel to work😁😁

One of the Best Series Around
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely and already have recommended this audiobook to all my friends along with the rest of the series of course! Really easy to listen to and Stephanie makes it enjoyable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favourite character has to be Andris. I just love him. He starts off as a bit of an ass but develops into a caring, warm person who really does care for Raine, can't get enough of him!!
What about Stephanie Terry’s performance did you like?
Overall, I enjoyed Stephanie's performance. I enjoyed the way she changed her intonation or her voice for the different characters. My only criticism would be her interpretation of Torin. I don't know if it's because I'm British but I found it "not quite right". Maybe it's just that I had a voice in my head when I read the books and it didn't sound the same. That aside though, it was well read and a thoroughly good listen.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I wouldn't say a particular moment but I enjoyed the relationship with Raine and her father. After what they've both been through, it was great to hear the interaction between them. They both clearly love each other and that comes through in the writing.
Any additional comments?
I have loved the whole series of books and I am an avid fan of Ednah Walters. She is a talented and inspired author. Where she gets her ideas from, I don't know. I'm so glad I found the series and eagerly await the next books in the series. A must, must purchase.

Good, but very young
This book seemed a little slower than the first, but it picked up at the end. In this book, the main character seemed even more immature than in the first book. I think it was partly the narrator's voice, and partly the way the character acted. She's constantly crying and talking about my boyfriend this and my boyfriend that, and he 'claimed me', etc, even before he's really her boyfriend. It's hard to imagine that some guy who's been alive a thousand years or so would be interested in this child. It was also frustrating because she knew that certain things were happening, but didn't tell the people who could help do something about it until the very end. I will probably still try the next book and hope it picks up.

Things I Like, Other Things Not So Much
If you could sum up Immortals in three words, what would they be?
myth, surprises, twists
What was one of the most memorable moments of Immortals?
learning about Tristan's terminal brain tumors
What three words best describe Stephanie Terry’s voice?
better in Runes
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was heartbreaking to learn that Tristan is dying. Also heartbreaking, the changes that Eirik goes through. I felt sorry for Raine because she is losing her father and her 'brother.' It definitely made me happy that Raine and Torin found their way back to each other.
Any additional comments?
The only problems I had with the audible version of this book: Cora's voice is so annoying that it almost made me cringe, at times the narration was a bit broken (breaks in reading sentences in awkward places).

💜💜💜💜
I just love this series and I'm so happy to have it as an audible as well. I read this series about a year ago or so and I'm just fell in love with the characters. Ednah does a phenomenal job at bringing the characters to life. I can't wait till all the books in series is in audible. They should make this series into a TV show or movie!!!

Family
I loved how this was based around family. Not many books have a loving mom and dad intertwined in the story but this did and I enjoyed the change. They were great parents!
