Summary
Her grandson was literally on the brink of death's door. From as early as one month old, he was gravely ill, with one illness after another. By the time he was three years old, he had been hospitalized more times than she could count. He would get better and then suddenly relapse with no reasonable explanation. When her granddaughter was born, she, too, started having alarming health problems. She had known that her daughter-in-law seemed to exaggerate but never could she have imagined this.
The children's mother was so cunning and crafty in her manipulative deception that she fooled dozens of medical professionals along the way. After three years of her grandson being constantly sick with countless hospitalizations, this grandmother was faced with the horrifying realization; that her grandchildren were sick because their mother was making them sick. Then the real fight began.
Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy is one of the cruelest forms of child abuse imaginable. It is very difficult to prove and even harder to prosecute. This story chronicles a woman's journey as she discovers that her two grandchildren are victims of this abuse that most people have never even heard of. Her faith in God kept her going as she turned their tragedies and trials into triumph. Follow her journey of faith as she fights to rescue, protect, and bring healing to her grandchildren's broken spirits and shattered little souls.

kept me interested
I did enjoy this book although at times I felt the writing was a little repetitive. it's my first audio book too and I think I could get hooked! it was in parts humourous sad cruel and my heart went out to the poor children and grandmother it doesn't bare thinking about how a mother could do those things

A Mother’s Heart
I can’t even imagine my Grandkids experiencing what these children went through. This book touched my heart and shows how far a Grandparent will go to protect & love her babies.
Tammy’s willingness to endure the roller coaster of emotions with such dignity and empathy is quite admirable. It would’ve been so easy to just give up!
This is an emotional read and does tug on the heart strings. I had to set it aside a couple of times to unwind. This is a story that needed to be told. If it helps someone to recognize a child is in harms way then it’s accomplished a very important service. I recommend all parents, grandparents and adults to read this book. It gives the reader a lot to think about.

Amazing, wonderful, and unbelievably HEARTFELT
Tammy you are an angel, an amazing mother and grandmother. Your patience is admirable. I am so proud of you and your family. I wonder if you still have Jennifer photo album. The sibling bond between Xander and Ariana is remarkable. I am grateful for Kevin service to our country and so glad for his loving wife and Children. Thank you for sharing your story. Thank you for writing this book. Couldn't stop listening. I pray Trisha gets help so not to put others in danger. My last name is Walker, I feel possibly related lol. Much love from Cleveland Ohio.

Eye-opening story, great narration
This is a story that needed to be told. Liz May Brice does a great job capturing Tammy's heart in her long ordeal and helping to make known this terrible abusive syndrome of Munchausen by Proxy. I found myself feeling the grief and agony that Tammy felt as she realized the full truth of what was really going on and was inspired by her perseverance in trusting God to finally bring closure and peace to her home. I'm so thankful that He used Tammy and the people who knew the real situation to rescue the two precious children who were the victims of the years of abuse. Their new lives and accomplishments are a testimony to God's grace and faithfulness. Thank you, Tammy, for sharing your story. And thank you, Liz, for telling it so beautifully.

A real story of overcoming tragedy
This book is amazing!
First it deals with a mental disease that people are not highly aware of, so the education portion of the book is very important and brings awareness.
Second, it's a story that speaks to the power of faith, love, determination, blessings, answered prayers, growth, healing and so much more.
I have trouble finding the time to sit and read a book. Being able to listen to it was great and the voice of the narrator brought the book to life.
5 stars for sure!

Incredible Story!!
This story is so incredible, could be straight out of a movie, and so inspiring. I think more people should educate themselves on Munchhausen by proxy. I believe more lives than we know would be saved or helped. This is a very easy read or listen, tender and beautiful true story. Highly recommend!
