Summary

I Cannot Get This Wrong is an exploration of how to live with anxiety, a blueprint for collective healing, and a joyful celebration of hope and transformation. It’s for you no matter how you move through the world. No matter your journey so far. No matter your childhood. No matter the beautiful, unique intersectionality of your identity. No matter how isolated you feel right now.

Dr. Sarah Madigan has 20 years of experience working with people living with anxiety, 15 of those as a clinical psychologist. Her experience of grieving for her first child was nothing like she could ever have imagined - and led her on the path to rediscovering joy, transforming her own debilitating anxiety, and becoming a transformational coach who is helping others to do the same.

In I Cannot Get This Wrong, Dr. Sarah Madigan combines practical tips with neuroscience, guest-author stories with deeply personal insights, and self-help with social responsibility - showing you how to create joy, replace judgement with compassion, and build a life where you can focus on something other than anxiety.

Because when you start from the knowledge that there’s no right way to be a human, you cannot get this wrong.

Wonderful!

I’m tempted to listen again now. What a wonderful book with attainable and non- judgmental ideas to try. Loved it. I bought two paper copies for friends as I listened and will now get myself one. Could not recommend more highly.

Absolutely inspiring

I have loved listening to every single part of this book. I know I will revisit it time and time again and will buy the hardback to make reference to also. I have taken from it so many worthwhile lessons and ways in which to incorporate more joy and self compassion in my life. I also feel so privileged to have heard the stories of the guest authors and the barriers that they have overcome. Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences.

Outstanding, personable and something for everyone

A brilliant listen. Sarah is so real and this comes across so well as she reads the book, expressing her emotions verbally as well as through the words. I feel there's definitely something more to get from listening to it rather than reading it as Sarah is so authentic. Sarah uses her own real life examples of struggling with and overcoming anxiety and they are so relatable. I laughed and cried listening to her stories. Sarah presents a range of different approaches/ techniques for overcoming anxiety and bringing more joy and I honestly believe they'll be something for everyone.
The guest authors are fantastic too and record their own chapters making them even more relatable and real. They are so honest in their struggles and really get you thinking in depth about difference and equality.
I will be listening again for a refresher as needed. Thank you Sarah for writing and recording this book.

Beautifully Vulnerable

The genuine nature of the author's reading, with the laughing and crying made me compelled to search for my own emotional connection to the topics. The simplicity of the mantra-like title echoes through every point she makes. Most books surrounding anxiety have not called me to action, but the broad information about neuro science together with an instilled sense of responsibility for one's own emotions managed to get me gratitude journaling consistently. I am grateful for you ❤️
