Surprised by the religious content

I enjoyed the basic story, but the synopsis didn’t warn me of the more than ‘light’ religious content which sadly spoiled it for me.

Fire to Punish

I liked the narrator. He used his voice well to separate his characters. I like the author and use of his K-9 throughout the story. He did investigate to point out, how fires start and where. He was able to, I feel, to make fire a main part of his story.

okay.

I might have liked this better if I had read it instead of listening to it as there were times when I felt like I had missed something. I'm guessing it was the end of a chapter or something. Either way it made it feel choppy. The story had some good parts but it seemed like the ending was rushed. I'd try something else from the author but maybe read it instead of listening.

A Novella

JWright
I enjoyed the story, especially the dogs. I selected this book because I have listened to other novels by Margaret Daley and liked them.
The narrator was difficult for me. In the beginning I wondered if the reader was computer generated; however, as the story progressed, the reader’s voice had more inflections.
For a brief narrative, this is a good selection.

Short and sweet

Story was short and didn’t go into describing every color of the trees and grass. It told the story which was eventful and well carried. Quick romance and actually believable.

Romance, suspense, and faith

I love romantic suspense, but so often sex and violence. Interfere with a good story. A Christian theme in addition makes it even better.

Enjoyed the book

Yes this is a very good book. A little love story. And yes the women does speak about thanking God. So if you don’t want to even hear a little bit about that then it’s not for you. This even a book a young teen could listen to. If you where playing it in the car.

I enjoyed how the story slowly came together and how he saved her along with his dog showing him were to go and how the story ended, with a love connection

Needs More Story

The book was great, but there could have been more to the storyline. It came together too quickly and ended leaving you wanting more!
