About this listen
In this new audiobook, How to Use Your Power: 20 Practical Lessons for Creating a Balanced Life, spiritual philosopher Ernest Holmes offers 20 "how to" lessons addressing such pertinent issues as how to have a happy family life, how to pray, how to deal with an addiction, how to have successful relationships and greater prosperity, and more. This powerful manual can be picked up and used when faced with a specific challenge, or when you simply want to understand "how to" deal with your life in a new way.
The end of each chapter of How to Use Your Power offers a direct meditation for each specific issue. This may be the most powerful element of the audiobook, because it is here that you "make it work". Hearing about how to change your life is powerful, but until you do something about it, it remains only in your head.
Never before published, and with a new foreword by Dr. Chris Michaels, How to Use Your Power explains how to use your personal power to find balance in the most essential of life's circumstances. This audiobook uses gender-neutral language, making it more accessible to all listeners.

Food for the soul
A massive thank you to Amazon for providing this book free of charge to all users. I’ve really enjoyed listening to this book over and over again. It’s replete with nuggets of wisdom and affirmative self-talk that is encouraging, positive, inspiring and simply wonderful! The meditations at the end of each chapter are life affirming.

Easy to understand without being at all patronising. Uplifting and confirmative, I'm glad I listened to it.

It is all about believing in god
Up to chapter 7 there is nothing concrete. Later it is hard to know the line between the 20 supposedly rules, what are the rules? most of it is about praying, believing in god, I say mostly since I managed to get to chapter 10 before I was done. Also the book merges god and spirituality, also the bible. If you are not religious you will struggle to listen.
Perhaps if you are religious, it will work, but I doubt this will offer too much value. There are many more insightful and helpful books other than this one.
