A real winner

I've listened to and read quite a few books that cover similar topics as this but haven't enjoyed them nearly as much as I have listening to this one. Damien has done a great job in both writing this book and in his performance reading it.

Damian delivers again.

What better way to learn about leadership, life and managing yourself and others.
Damian brings it all to life in a gripping and intriguing way with stories from one of footballs most iconic characters.

I’d highly recommend all of Damian’s Audiobooks

A good listen

A good listen with lots of good insight. A bit annoying that the chapter headings weren’t printed as I wanted to go back to re-listen to some points but found it difficult to find due to no chapter titles.
A good listen if you’ve read Sir Alex’s other book on Managing and coaching

Absolutely brilliant

This is one of the ten must have books for any individual starting out on their career or someone looking to improve the performance of their team. It was full of leadership and personal development nuggets that had been tried and tested in the real world, simple stuff that really does work, from breaking down your goals into process goals, performance goals and outcome goals, the five examples of 'crooked' thinking and the 'bleeding obvious' . Really enjoyed listening to Sir Alex's ideas, just brilliant.....don't wait download your copy now and start to grow your leadership skills today. If you are a grand parent, why not consider giving this as a gift to your grand children, they will thank you for the rest of their lives.

Some interesting ideas but...

I really didn't like it I am afraid. To be fair, I have listened to 2 books by Alex Ferguson hoping to understand the secrets to his success, and I didn't think he got particularly close to being able to explain it, so what chance does someone else have?! But I was hoping for better than this.

In essence I found it extremely incoherent, and a lot of the ideas explained were quite poorly related to the anecdotes about Ferguson. I also don't understand why the book kept being framed as being about managing change, when the title is much broader. It also seemed to have no descernible structure.

It does contain some interesting ideas, but very superficially described (or one could say the concepts were very dummed down).

Neither textbook nor biography

An interesting attempt to bridge two areas of interest - but in my view there are better motivational books and better books about Fergie. Enjoyable nonetheless.
