Summary

What is the new, revolutionary way people are becoming skillful? How is sports practice and coaching becoming more creative and fun—giving athletes the opportunity to explore and support their own individuality and creativity? Why is it time we move away from the idea that we learn through boring repetition of a skill in an un-game-like practice environment, running through tires, hitting off tees, and dribbling through cones?

A look at the exciting alternative approach to how we learn to move and its implications for practice design, coaching, keeping kids engaged in sports, injury prevention, developing training technology, using analytics, and more.

Every coach, athlete and sports enthusiast should read/listen this

Rob Grey has put together a fantastic book that empowers us to explore, develop and self-orgabize the training (of anything) and design training.

A fantastic resource for coaches in any sport

Having coached Adventure Sports for over 20 years being introduced to the Dynamical Systems approach to coaching has been a game-changer. it has helped me reinvigorate my delivery across all the sports I teach.
I've never been great at reading through text books, so finding this one on Audible was a major bonus.
Rob's delivery of the material was fun and engaging which made it a pleasure to listen to. I found myself having to pause and go back frequently as my brain kept veering off into visualising what a topic would mean for my own sports.
I have since bought the hard-copy version so I can scribble in the margins when I listen to it again.
This is definitely a book I will be recommending to others.
