Finn King. He's sexy, single, successful, and hotter than anything that comes out of his kitchen. His focus lies on the perfection of his food and becoming a celebrity chef. Women and love aren't on his list of priorities until in walks Hailee with her smart mouth and flaming red hair. She challenges him at every turn, and he just can't get enough of it.
Hailee Ferris doesn't believe in fairy tales or happily ever afters. She learned that the hard way a long time ago. All she wants is to save up enough money to move away from the small town she's felt trapped in her whole life. When she lies to get the job at Finn's restaurant, the one thing she wasn't counting on was falling for her boss.
When one accidental kiss turns their worlds upside down, cooking isn't the only thing heating up the kitchen....

Really enjoyed it
I really enjoyed this story. I love the characters even though I wanted to bang their heads together a couple of times. I really wanted to know what was going to happen and how they were going to get there. Alan Taylor did a great job with the narration, he brought the story to life beautifully. So enjoyable.

This Foodie Romance Story Made Me Hungry 🤤
"How We Fall" was a wonderful story and I just loved how Alyne Hart put the foodie spin in to it. When some of the ingredients were being described, I could actually taste it myself.
I could understand Hailey's fears, being that I've been there myself. But, like Fin was willing to do, sometimes you need to step out on faith.
I also loved how Book 1 was intertwined with this book. It made it more real, like a day by day occurrence.
The narrator Alan Taylor was absolutely amazing.

How We Fall
This is the 2nd book in The Men of Evansdale County series. While I liked the first one, I loved this one. Both Finn and Hailee were such nice, likable characters. Finn was a sexy head chef at a high end restaurant who had an instant attraction to his new hire, Hailee, who was skittish when it came to relationships and didn't believe in fairy tales or happy endings. Finn had his work cut out for him to break down her walls. It was a sweet storyline that I very much enjoyed. Alan Taylor has a nice voice and did a great job bringing this story to life.

Delicious and Satisfying!
Alyne Hart is fast becoming an author that I will one click! In book two of this series, we get an intimate look at the inner workings of a chef. Finn is first and foremost a chef, not looking for love, but when he runs into his new hire, Hailee, all bets are off. There is a no fraternization policy, but the chemistry between these two is sizzling and keeping their hands to themselves is difficult. Hailee has been hurt badly and is not interested in anything long term, but will she be able to hold her feelings back? This chance at happiness for each of them is clear and present. Hart writes the story so you can easily relate to each character and spend the entire time rooting for their happily ever after. This recipe for love has feelings of passion, frustration, anger and love all come out leaving your hunger completely satisfied. Not to mention the wonderful visuals of the food these two prepare and taste! With a cameo from Finn's brother Dean and his wonderful grandmother, Hart has another winner.
Alan Taylor is wonderful as a narrator. I love his rich tone and ability to switch between characters with ease. He provides female voices that do not have that forced sound and makes this story a delicious listen!

Finn and Hailey!! great story
Alyne Hart is pretty talented. This book just grabs you and does not let you go. The narration matches the story well, and it keeps you waiting. I had several interruptions while at work, and I was so mad, but I could not stop listening. :) I just went back a little and got back into it. Finn and Hailey are a fantastic couple and being along on their HEA ride is a whole lot of fun. Great book.

Very enjoyable!!
A man that cooks, who doesn't love that? I adore Chef Finn King, who is confident with a great sense of self. He has a heart of gold despite being bullied as a child for being overweight. Our heroine, Hailee, is hilarious, she has a habit of speaking before thinking and has had an unfortunate love life. Finn's charms, absolute hotness, persistence, and culinary expertise, finally convinces her to take the plunge.
Overall, this was an enjoyable romance with delightful characters. The narration by Alan Taylor is superb. He represents the characters' personality, emotion, and sizzling chemistry, ideally, bringing them to life. How We Fall is fantastic to listen to, and I strongly recommend it.
