Fun and exciting.
A fun and exciting mystery with a fast-paced plot, plenty of twists, and the wonderful Pets and Paws Animal Rescue. It is brilliantly narrated by Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo.

Lovely festive cozy mystery
I like this authors work and paired with this narrator it all works even better. A festive mystery involving a murder at a fund raiser for the Pets and Paws Charity. There are the usual good range of suspects, and inventive murderer and dogs of course. It is a shorter well written story with great characters and settings. I enjoy the narration it is an easy listen with a good range of voices that give the characters and story life. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review

Really enjoyable - narration was brilliant
Just loved it, nice cozy mystery - and yes it was short which is another benefit. The narration suits the story. I am loving the cookies but also the dog rescue stories
I was given a free copy by the author but this in no way impacted my review.

A Jolly Merry Christmas
I enjoyed this book. This is book four in what is a fun light hearted cozy mystery series, each book is a standalone book but as many of the characters play a part in each book, I think it works best read as a series. I love the setting, where each book somehow involves the dog shelter and it's many residents. It's also backed up by great characters of the human kind, it's a nice tight-knit family group that works well together, I especially like the teenage daughter with her crush.. The mystery was interesting and played out well, with a satisfying conclusion. It also kept me guessing. The only down side was I would have liked it to have been a bit longer but it was a nice balance of mystery, doggy care, Christmas spirit or cookies and home drama. A great little mystery and I look forward to another.
Pets & Paws are hosting a holiday fund raising gala but somebody isn't happy about it. Sheridan is worried when the decorations are pulled down and a threatening note is left but the events goes off with out a hitch. That is until the guests start to get sick, including her own step daughter. Most just need rest, a few end up in hospital but it is the death of Davis Elder that is the most worrying. Could somebody have put on the holly decorations into the food by mistake or is it more serious? It' seems everybody was poisoned to cover up a murder but why? Sheridan is asked for help by the dead man's daughter as the office they both work in is broken into and she fears for her life. Can Sheridan uncover the motive for the murder and still be ready for Christmas?
I liked the narrator, she sounds just right for the characters or should I say she sounds like I imagine them.
