About this listen

What’s one way to make a lasting impression on a man? Shoot him.

When I accidentally send a bullet flying through a handsome stranger, I’m mortified. When I find out he’s a doctor who treats children with life-threatening heart problems? I’m determined to make it up to him.

Playing nursemaid to Dr. Oliver Kinkaid is easier said than done. At least while having to pretend I’m not attracted to him. He’s a decade older than me, supremely sexy and has his life together. What’s not to swoon over? Especially since I’m scraping by as a teacher, sharing an apartment with two friends, and an exciting Friday night means binge-watching Dateline episodes with a bag of potato chips. Not much to swoon over here. Until I find a hidden letter in our century old apartment that predicts I’ll meet my soul mate and live happily ever after. Things start to develop between Oliver and me. Our mutual attraction grows to combustible levels and I can’t help but wonder if the letter was right—is he my perfect match? Then I find out Oliver’s secret and I want to put another bullet through him.

Hit or Miss is a lighthearted, heartwarming, and steamy romantic comedy with a happy ending and a cast of hilarious characters that will have you laughing out loud until the last word.

Absolutely fantastic story that will have you laughing, tearful, swooning, screaming at characters and fanning yourself from the heat throughout! Will the letter Gemma finds turn out to come true?...
Great narration that captures your attention instantly and keeps it while bringing the story to life!

Fun, flirty and emotion filled

Great little rom com and all the more enjoyable because you just know it’s setting the foundation for the next instalment. Was utterly thrilled to find that the whole series is included in the Plus catalogue. Took some time to get past the narration for the female side characters, sounded like whining teenagers rather than 20 somethings but soon got used to it and the rest of it was good. New author for me and love that we get to try them out on Plus. Really fun listen and definitely recommended.

Hot, spicy and fun listen.

Alternating pov but there is no gender difference during the sex scenes which I found odd. Sounded more like a porn description than people getting to know each other. The setting was supposed to be around Boston but there was no sense of where the book was set, even the scenes in Fenway were generic. The constant Mercedes SUV mention was total overkill except if the author is being paid for product placement.

If you like stories set in unidentifiable suburbs this is the book for you.

Is the author a guy?

This was a very cute romcom with a sprinkle of spice. The story was good, as slowburn with good tension and eventually some good spice too. There is a mystery and a little drama at the end, but, a part from that it's all mild and sweet comedy.
my only problem was I couldn't stand the fmc. She was prudish, and annoyingly insecure at times. I just disliked her.So, I guess it's a me problem not book issue.
the narration was really good.

super cute

Easy, predictable storyline. A few entertaining laughs and nice characters. Writing felt a bit cliché and messy in places, but it was good to listen to as it took zero work.

Generally easy listening

Characters felt childish and shallow, I wasn’t really rooting for them! Narrators emphasised the weirdest things.
