About this listen

After suffering a very public humiliation, Kenadie Marshall realizes that love shouldn't be left only to personal judgement. Instead of wallowing in her misery, Kenadie creates Binary Search, the perfect balance between a software application and human intuition to help others find true and lasting love, all while personally swearing off relationships for good.

Attractive and loveable Jason Hadley is taken with Kenadie from their first meeting. Determined to prove that love isn't over for her, he does everything he can think of, even if it means using her firm's service and dating other women to stay close to her. Jason quickly gains a rally of supporters, including Kenadie's over-enthusiastic mother and meddling best friend, but will his ploys help Kenadie find her match, or jeopardize everything she's created and lead to further humiliations? In an epic battle of wills, this romantic comedy shows that love is patient, love is kind, and love can heal even the most broken of hearts.

Review

Would you listen to His Personal Relationship Manager again? Why?

This was a very emotional story and I am not sure if I would read it more than once. If I did I think I would leave a long gap before I did so.

What did you like best about this story?

I did like the story very much but I found it difficult to understand how the characters could be so dumb and clueless about each others feelings. Xander was so irritating and annoying,.Every time he opened his mouth I wanted to throttle him. I realise that was the point so I guess the author did well in getting that across lol. Jason, for a clever man was just as stupid in how he handled relationships. Plus don't get me started on Kenadie she was the worst of the lot. Kenadie and Zander both had the embarrassing families from hell. really funny as long as they were not yours! I loved it, the interaction between everybody was so funny. Even when things were meant to be really sad you had to laugh in a sick sort of way. I think most of us have been through situations like that.

What about Nancy Peterson’s performance did you like?

Nancy Peterson read very well. Her "Xander" was marvelous, every time I heard him appear I really did want to do something violent to him. believe me, I do not care how handsome he is I would not touch that idiot with a barge pole! Whoever he ends up with better be deaf dumb and blind.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were many scenes that made me laugh and those were with the family. Kenedie made me cry because she was so broken. She should have healed long ago and had wasted so many years. Biu then again she had succeeded work wise which was good. It was just emotionally that she had shut down. But that was really bad enough.

Any additional comments?

All in all I would say this is a really good book and I enjoyed it. The parts that irritated me I think the author meant them to irritate. I hope I am not wrong about that. If I am then it is me who is the idiot lol.

Absolutely loved it!

This is the story of the trials and tribulations associated with emerging from heartbreak. Kenadie is a highly intelligent, successful woman who was humiliated at the altar. With her sense of self worth shattered and her confidence at an all time low, she has packed her heart away and opted to live life in the non-moving lane. She uses her heartache and experience to help others find love.

In comes Jason who cleverly tosses her plans, and more importantly her heart, into a twist. Yes, there is a happily ever after and the plot isn't all that unique, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I love the way this story has been written. Some of it is delightfully colloquial, as though Kenadie is having a private conversation with the reader. I love the funny characters that support Jason and Kenadie's story. Jason is yummy and Kenadie is so easy to relate to. The story has been rather rather delightfully constructed.

Nancy Peterson has done a tremendous job narrating this story. She brings the story and the various characters wonderfully to life.
