Summary
Tour guide Mara MacDougall stops at a London antique shop - and spots perhaps the handsomest bed ever. Then she bumps into the handsomest man ever. Soon Mara can't forget the irresistible - if haughty - Highlander. Not even when she learns that she's inherited a Scottish castle.
Spectral Sir Alexander Douglas has hated the Clan MacDougall since he was a medieval knight and they tricked him into a curse - the curse of forever haunting the bed (the very one that Mara now owns) that was once intended for his would-be bride. But Mara makes him feel what no other MacDougall has - a passion that he never knew he'd missed.

Unique and enjoyable.
Story: I've read a lot of hunky sexy highlander romances, from time travel and magic, to fae, and druids... I know them all.... but never a ghost story! This is unique but so verrrry enjoyable. if you like a historical HEA romance for what it is then you'll enjoy this one too.
Narrator: Not so good, in that his female voices sound like a baritone male doing a female impression badly. But otherwise he was good. I didn't turn it off and reach for my Kindle instead, so I guess it's possible to get past it.
Heat factor: Red Hot! The theme IS sex. But this isn't erotica and it's not crass.... no more so than any other in this genre.

Loved it!
This is a wonderful story wove with the very air of the Highlands woven into it. With the writings of Sue-Ellen and the great Narriator, it was the makings of a super tale. Don't miss this one.

Fell in love with the hero
The way he's written, you can almost imagine looking at him. I love it when a character is brought to life so well.

Great Story but narrator butchered the female voice
This was a great part. I will admit there was a lot of talk about sex that was bold and that was a little eye opening. Great story line! I loved the narrator's male voices esp his Scottish accent but his female voice was chalk scratching irritating. Mara sounded like Dennis the Mennis which really took away from how I pictured her in the story. If you could take the female voice of the narrator in the next two books in the series and use this narrators male voice it would be great !

Too much sex
Too much sex, if there is such a thing! I wanted to listen to a story, not a man's thoughts of desire of a woman's body. There is a great storyline, but I felt it strayed way too much from the story, to sexual desires. It detracted from the book, for my personal reading.

could have been better
I liked the story but i wish we got more explanation about the ghost world and the others beyond the veil that hurt Alex. I enjoyed the process of Alex getting over his hatred for the MacDougalls and falling in love with Mara. Their antics and banter was entertaining.

Highlander in Her Bed
Awesome, utterly romantic, touching story! The story, the author, and the narrator all deserve five stars. I listened mesmerize to the entire audio in one sitting. David Monteath is an amazing storyteller who brought the characters to life with his amazing narration. Amazing, must experience, audio book!

Not as good as I had hoped
while the overall storyline was decent...the book was more a continual sex scene, rather then a story with parts that were sexually charged. I was truly disappointed and found this book very difficult to finish.
