Summary
Almost 40 years ago John and Elizabeth Sherill introduced the world to the phenomenon of speaking in tongues in their book, They Speak with Other Tongues. The book was an immediate success as thousands were touched by the power of this spiritual gift.
The Hidden Power of Speaking in Tongues again explores this spiritual experience powerfully prevalent in the early church. This much maligned and controversial gift was a practical part of their worship and intercession and seeks to be rediscovered in our day.
In a day of spiritual poverty, Chavda challenges the body of Christ to experience afresh the secret dynamic of speaking in tongues, as he removes the veil covering this glorious gift.

Great book but wanders off subject at the end.
This is an excellent book for the most part and covers many aspects of speaking in tongues including its benefits to the believer.
However in the last couple of chapters he wanders off into dispensation eschatology, which does the book no favours.

Good but Not Very In-depth
Content was good, but was more of an overview for people totally new to the concept of speaking in tongues. Would have liked to have heard more in-depth explanation of the results of speaking in tongues with real life examples or anecdotes.
The narrator has a pleasant voice but reads so slowly and haltingly that I had to turn up the speed so as to not be distracted by it. He also mispronounces many words such as abhor, draught, similar, etc., which is a bit cringe-worthy, bless his heart.

Loved The Narrator's Voice
What made the experience of listening to Hidden Power of Speaking in Tongues the most enjoyable?
The Narrator had a nice velvety reading voice. I enjoyed that. I had read the print version of this title over 12 years ago, and decided to refresh my memory and give this book a listen. I appreciated some of the author's points I didn't remember or had forgotten over the years since I first read this.
What about David Stafford’s performance did you like?
I loved his voice and presentation, but it seems he didn't know how to pronounce some words. Early in the book when I noticed it, I didn't think much of it until I realized every time he would pronounce certain words, he'd get them wrong. I was surprised how often and how many words he simply either didn't know how to pronounce or chose to pronounce the way he did. Otherwise, I'd listen to anything he read if I come across other audio books I'm interested in that he happens to be the narrator for.

This audio was music to my ears....
Like a cinematographer, Pastor Chavda brilliantly illustrated through a plethora of testimonies and personal experience, why every Believer needs to copiously incorporate the "bridal language of heaven", into our activities of daily living. This joyfully eradicated a dry, dull listening experience and as can be imagined, a boring read. I plan on purchasing this book and adding it to my library. Two thumbs up!

The writer has lived this! He is worth listening to
There are a few Christian authors that I would Recommend as highly as I do Mahesh Chanda. His testimony is amazing and, his decades of service to the Lord With faith and integrity give him a solid perspective of life, the word, and the working of the Spirit of God. Such a worthwhile read. Very biblical, informative, and inspiring

Poor Narration
Narrators voice was nice but his pauses and sometimes lack of, made the story hard to listen to. There was hardly any inflection, very monotone. Couldn’t enjoy the book.
