2 satisfying military romances in 1! A total win!
Two action-packed, deliciously romantic books in one. This audiobook is a total win!
Caitlyn O'Leary writes satisfying military romances. Her characters and stories are so easy to commit to that I find myself eager for what is next. Each book is stand-alone but I love revisiting the characters so enjoy reading the books in order. (Of course I am also happy to reread my favourites out of order too!) It is always nice to know that the couples stay together beyond the initial attraction and rush of the crisis that brought them together. Also included is an element of community and family that adds a real feel-good factor to the series.
Caitlyn creates wonderfully masculine, strong male characters and equally wonderfully strong women to match! Their stories keep you on edge and before you know it, there is a HEA with a genuine sigh of relief that they made it! I loved listening to these stories. Military romance escapism at its best!

Two great military Romances in this boxset. We have army Investigator, army nurse, earthquake, escape prisoners and that's just Her Steadfast Hero .
In Her Devoted Hero, we just as much action, Navy SEAL, a single mum, who is a nurse. Murders
Chemistry, passion. action.

military romance love!
So first, I absolutely LOVED how Aiden Snow narrated the stories and brought them to life! I love his deep voice and how he was able to consistently "act" out each character. Definitely a perk when listening to an audio book!
Story wise, for Her Steadfast Hero.... I genuinely loved David and Sarah's story - the glimpse back at their beginning, and just how much time has gone by to get their second chance at their hea. The instant re-connection and honest communication did it for me. David had such respect, care, and bossy protectiveness towards Sarah, and she was sweet, compassionate, and just what David needed in his life. Add in the drama of the natural disaster paired with bad guys galore, and toss in a swoony Navy Seal team as backup, and you have a perfect mix of adventure and love in a short story that doesn't feel rushed.
And for Her Devoted Hero... I totally adored this story - perfect mix of love story and action! Kenna's got sass that serves her well and a amazing love for her boy. Dex has the smarts, the will power and the protective instincts to meet his woman head on. They compliment each other perfectly! Throw in a bad guy story line that keeps ya guessing and a teenage boy turning to be a man and I'm swoonin' over it! My only wish would be that Kenna's stubborn strength would have eased up earlier and she let go and leaned more on Dex. I get why she didn't, but it just hurt my heart so much for her to see her struggling. Either way, it still was amazing to watch them reach their hea!

Book #1 This is the story of an Army investigator David Sloane and former Army nurse Sarah Kyle, who is now with Doctors Without Borders. They meet when David is sent to a small Island to see about two missing Army soldiers who have been imprisoned. The day he gets there the island is hit by a devastating earthquake that destroys the prison and a bunch of convicts escape. He is tasked with putting the prison back to rights and apprehending the escapees. They see each other for the 1st time in four years when she is tending to a patient. Neither has gotten over the other. I loved this story. It has everything danger, angst, intensity, and endless passionate chemistry.
Book #2 This is the story of Navy Seal Dex Evans and Nurse Kenna Wright who is a single mom of a teenage son. When his fellow Seal team members prank him by setting him up an online dating personal ad Dex is not happy. He spends four days contacting over 200 women to cancel and explain he had been hacked. When Dex gets to Kenna's ad, he is just totally intrigued by her. When one of her coworkers is murdered, it looks like Kenna may be next on the killer's list. Dex is crazy about Kenna from the start, but due to a teenage pregnancy and a bad divorce Kenna is very gun shy. I also loved this story too. It again has the danger, angst, intensity, and endless passionate chemistry and some great banter.
Aiden Snow does the narrating on both of these books. He has a very nice deep voice and does a great job with the voices. I could listen to him all day!

Love these Heros!
The first story had David and Sarah and was a great story with plenty of action. Earthquake, prison break, and hostage situation which bring in the SEALS. Great romance with some great characters! The second story featured Dex and Kenna. This story had a stalker/ serial killer. Plenty of humor and some steam with wonderful characters and a fantastic story! Loved them both! The narrator did a good job and read a good speed and had a great voice. Enjoyed this audible immensely.

Full disclosure: this review is really only about Her Devoted Hero. I only listen to books after I've read them, and I haven't gotten around to Her Steadfast Hero yet.
I love Kenna (Poppy) and Dex. They are adorable together. She has just the right amount of sass and snark to make her interesting. I also loved how to used her amazing mom skills to keep everyone (including all the seals) in line. As usual with a Caitlyn O'Leary book all the side characters are amazing as well. This story is quite a bit faster than I actually remember (I'm a slow reader) but with two books coming in under 9 hours, it's a quick one. But totally worth it.
For the performance, I loved loved loved Aiden Snow's voice. A lot of times male narrators make female characters either really annoying or you can't really tell they're supposed to be female. Aiden Snow, even with his deep voice, has no problem with that. He made the book entertaining and engaging. A+ all around!

Incredibly Good Narration of 2 Excellent Romances
I never quite knew how enjoyable it could be to listen to a fantastic romance! But wait, we have two great romances, so very different in nature, but both having strong m/f characters with a lot of action, suspense, heat and of course the LoL moments.
Her Steadfast Hero with David and Sarah was more intense throughout with an earthquake, prisoner escapes up front and is a 2nd chance romance.
Her Devoted Hero with Dex and Kenna started out with more levity and built up to a very terrifying and intense situation, directly involving Kenna.
Now, listening to all this in Aiden Snow's amazing voice was the cherry on top of all the goodness. He definitely gets points for a most pleasing tone, inflections, enunciation and switches. I'm hooked on audio!

I love this series
Wow this was awesome. I already had read both but to get to set back and just listen was an awesome experience. This is the first two books in the series. When it comes to the woman they love these seals will go to the ends of the earth t keep them safe, loved, and completely satisfied.

good series of alpha males & women who tame them
Army MP, David Sloane, has been sent to the island of Las Flores to investigate the arrest of two army men. While there, an earthquake shakes the island and lots of devastation occurs, including the escape of dangerous criminals from the damaged prison. While David heads up a search party, he meets the group from Doctors Without Borders and comes face to face with the woman who broke his heart. Follow David and Sarah as they survive attacks on their lives while helping others. Good story, if a bit bland. DNF the second story.
