Summary

The Ford name is everywhere, even in places where you don’t see it. It is ingrained in the American way of life. From the way we make our food to the way we think about cars, it all came from the mind of this Irishman from Michigan.

Henry Ford was a titan’s titan. In monetary terms, he was richer than the richest man alive today. Yet, he was the gentlest of souls and had the brightest of minds.

This book covers his life from when his family immigrated to Michigan until his last breath. It recounts a life from the perspective of someone who wants to understand the genius and spirit within everyone.

If you want to learn how he thought and how he went about accomplishing what he did, you will thoroughly enjoy this book. Henry Ford remains one of the best examples to follow in changing how we think and moving our life to a whole new level.

Bare bones biography of Henry Ford

Having visited the Henry Ford Museum and Village in Michigan, it was interesting to learn more about the man. This is a bare bones biography, so there are some places where I would have been interested to know more than what the author had written

Excellent book

Excellent book, with an insight into how he thought and his different approaches to getting a lot of cars built at a low price. A lot of "out of the box" thinking was his trademark.

A relatively good man

J.R. MacGregor History’s Henry Ford: A Life From Beginning to End gave a balanced portrayal of the man’s life. He was an incredible inventor who fundamentally changed how cars and trucks were built. Before his time cars were mainly for the rich and the car manufacturers felt they could make more money on price than volume. He was also a pacifist who did not believe that the US should’ve entered World War I. He was also an anti-Semite who believe that the Jews wanted to take over the world. This book is a good introduction to Henry Ford’s life.

A varied account of Henry Ford's life

A gripping tale, giving the good and the bad of a man that changed the worlds history and we still feel the impact today. It is a fascinating story of one man and his vision to make life better for everybody. Some of his ideas form a century ago still have influence over our lives today.

A view of business from one

I just finished Henry Ford's Biography and was quite surprised by it. If all businesses were run the way he lays out in the book, the world would be a much better place. He stated that he believed that the purpose of a business was to serve the world in the best way possible while providing employment and compensation at a level that would enable a worker the ability to purchase every need he had. The way he describes the average worker is astounding coming from a Captain . He also proposes the proper place for money, finance, lawyers, and managers. I was completely, and happily, blown away by his vision. Too bad as soon as he retired Ford became like every other company and through most of his ideas out of the window.

Great biographies

Henry Fords biographies of work, man and machine, employer and employee still resonates well to this day. The writing is a bit archaic and can sometimes pander on the rambling but overall a great listen with lots of insite and wisdom .

Good business book

Anyone who has listen "Henry Ford - Auto Tycoon" will understand exactly what is wrong with our country today. There are three ways to create wealth--grow it, mine it, or make it--and activities like flipping houses or trading carbon credits do not qualify.
