BEAUTIFUL, TOUCHING LOVE STORY...
First off, let me just say that this narrator is amazing! she brought the story to life! This story is about God's mercy, and about forgiveness and about redemption. It is a gut wrenching but exquisitely beautiful love story. It's about hurting, and healing, and about the greatest love of all...God's love. I highly recommend this book and know you'll be as touched as I was! 🤗

Exceptional
Can I just say Wow? I did not know what to expect because this is the first book by this author I have read or listened to.. But I am a devoted fan now to be sure! This story had so much depth and emotion and puzzle pieces that were never expected, I could not wait until the next words were uttered!
The narrator Renee Raudman was such a pleasure listening to with all of her different voices and inflections, it felt like I was watching a movie. The children voices were almost painful because their anguish came through as well as the adults.
This is a story of the horrors that a childhood could bring during this time period and even today with different variations and it will make you thankful.
Four sisters left after their parents passed away after their long journey from Ireland, when their terrible aunt and uncle took custody of them. Of course they had children of their own to try to support, but still,.. I am sure this did happen a lot.
This is Laura's story, the oldest and what happened to her. How she survived and finally found love that was hard won.
Amazing, just amazing. Cannot wait to listen to more!!

So Sweet
I absolutely loved this book, it was really sweet and full of good vibes and I really needed that, if you want something that will make your heart flutter non stop this book is for you
the book follows Laura who has a dark past she wishes to bury and Brandon who is a preacher, these two people are the exact opposite yet they need each other to forgive themselves from their pasts
so sweet, so cute and I will certainly continue on with the series to see what happened to Laura's sisters :)
The narration is Excellent, it has been a while since I was last impressed by a narration this much, hope she is the narrator for the rest of the series

Heart of Stone: Irish Angel Series book 1
I came very close to tossing this story aside when I thought I was going to have to endure the horrendous attempted Irish accent in the opening scenes. I figured I’d get the book if I really wanted to try again. If you can hold on through those opening pages and allow the story to unfold you will be rewarded with a lovely story of redemption of many of the characters in the story.
All to often we can easily point our fingers at others sins while overlooking and excusing our own. This was something the town had to deal with when confronted with the truths of scripture.
I look forward.to the remaining books in the series. If you like a story with hope and restoration you will find it here.

Boring...
Roughly listened to almost half of the book before I decided to drop it. I don't know if the second half gets better and I don't care. Wasted money...
