Summary
An Bord des Passagierdampfers "Ormuz" auf der Fahrt nach Bombay wird Mr. Hatch Zeuge einer heftigen Auseinandersetzung in einer ihm fremden Sprache. Er mischt sich ein und kriegt einen Kinnhaken. So beginnt "ein eher leichter, fast fröhlicher Fall", wie Professor van Dusen feststellt. Im weiteren Verlauf verliebt Hatch sich in eine angebliche Prinzessin, macht ihr bei einem Kamelausflug in Aden einen Antrag und heiratet sie schließlich an Bord. Doch zu seinem Glück greift die Denkmaschine ein - sie enthüllt eine hinterlistige Intrige und rettet den Assistenten vor dem Geheiratet-Werden.
